To add to the previous comment, since the idea is that this team concept could work for any kind of team (e.g. also individual sports like swimming or gymnastics teams), it might be interesting to use less detailed representation of human figures at the top (e.g. just heads) that show this could be a group of youth or adults and not necessarily from one sport or another.
One other idea I've been toying with is a tagline that says "We put the I in team" and maybe there's a way to incorporate the "I" in the word Grid with that concept. Because of the old saying "there's no I in team," the fact we say we're putting an "I" in team will turn heads. Add to the fact that PlayerGrid is all about getting a team member individual benefit and it kind of makes sense.
Hello-thanks for the all comments! Here are the changes you requested.I hope this mind! If there`s any other option you would like to see, please let me know. Thanks. Kind regards, Bob.
Thanks, let's try removing the human figures all together and have both a black and white version and color version for the balls. I think the human figures are too difficult and probably not necessary. I will leave it to your artistic vision as to the color, but upon seeing the balls in color and the rest monotone blue and grey ... it doesn't look so good. I think if we were to do colored balls, we'd also have to take more liberty with color on the top part. I'm open to your suggestions. Great job so far!!
Thanks Bob. Let's try dark blue and grey (as original) and some of the women think the logo looks a little too masculine. Remember, this has to appeal to moms and youth sports participants. Do you have any other thoughts as to softening it up a bit or simplifying the whole logo? I know we are asking a lot but the application is all about making sports communication and sharing simple. So we should have a simple, but effective logo.
Thanks again Bob. I like the colors for #57 but not loving the size of the kid on top. The "We put the I in team" is not looking right with any of these logos and might have to sit alone as a tagline. I'll talk to the rest of the team and come back with more feedback.
Bob, if we can get rid of the kid for #57 and also eliminate the "we put the I in team" slogan, I think that is the logo we like best and we'll move that to #1. Thanks!!!
Also, just for grins, is there any way you could give us another option for the bottom area where the balls are? What I mean is could we try another shape or way to enclose those balls that doesn't include the extra line that contains them?
Hello, Thanks for the great all comments. Here are more options.I hope you like it! If there`s any other option you would like to see, let me know. I would love to hear what you think.
Hi Bob. Great job!! You are the winner as far as we are concerned. I have never done this logo tournament thing before so I don't know how this ends. When do you think we can get an EPS file of #68? I only have one suggested change and that is to please move the baseball back inside the line. Everybody agreed that it's best to keep all the balls inside the lines.
Hi, great news :) I'm very pleased with this outcome. You can end the contest as soon as it enters the judging mode. In the mean time I will post the entry #68 with the baseball inside the line. Then, once the contest is over I will upload the final files on Logo Tournament site, so you can download them. And that's all. Thanks. Best regards, Bob.
