Instead of a black font, could you do green perhaps, colors that would compliment the citrus fruits? This logo will be based out of St. Barts, which is very colorful and nobody wears black or dark colors, so fun, light and bright logos are important here. Also google "organic fonts" and play with a more organic font...if that makes sense :)
