but doesnt look bad...like the shield coloring. is that the same shield coloring and spear coloring as any of the other new samples...483 or 484. if not can I see this coloring with white background. this one looks a little different in shading and bronze coloring in this view.
thanks, I will play with that a bit and see what we get. I like this look, but still think red for financial business is tough color to use. Just not sure gold is effective as only non black or white color so want to see more bronze/darkish gold, but the gradient shading of the spears looks better than solid in all forms and obviously the lighter color works better with black background.
just to be clear, was talking about this look with red inside the shield for phalanx symbol instead of white. might be too close in color to even make a dif, but...
Can we see this with white background, black font and still keep the gradient shading.
Is it also possible to see the spears in some different shades. more bronze maybe even towards brown if the red component was increased a bit.
My thought here is that gold isnt really a flexible color when standing alone, but I am not finding a color scheme that works with red as a dominant color.
also, is it posible to see the shield with the red color you have as backgroung from 474. this can be just a shield of the one where you have the shield as the second A in the name. just want to see how the red looks as opposed to the while in the shield.
I was out of town for last 3 days but will do some work to get some ideas of colors and get them to you quickly.
I think this logo looks clean and professional, but the colors that you submitted need to be dimmed down, made more earthy if they are going to work.
conclusion is this shield is preferred with spears as you have them spaced in this version. The red is interesting but in general given the financial nature of our company red isnt usually the best color as it signifies losses. The use of the red in my view was potentially on the shield, but as the other versions of the shield are less likely to be used I think we should concentrate on the logo in this chain.
The Nevan font is good. so can we see a couple versions of this shield with black nevan font. I think gold is a touch color in general so I will give some thought to spear and shield coloration but if you have thoughts they are appreciated.
if you can show some of the other variations with this shield and spear alignment that would be helpful as well. I like the gradient font on the spear with the white name in black background.
the font that I had looked up before the contest that was similar that we liked was Nevan or Nevan Bold. It isnt that important, just was curious and wanted to see how the above looked. thanks.
maybe we can see this one with the taller/higher shield dimensions and only the curved part of the shield and with red (your darker red suggestion) and black font color.
I have seen a font in the past where the "junctions" of a lot of the letters leave gaps like the P, H, and X. in that case would expect to see junctions on the last vertical swipe of the N and maybe as the bottom of the L. any thoughts? what font is this you are using? I can go try and look up the other font I am thinking of but dont know what it would be off hand.
can we see this one with spears just slightly tighter together and the name in dark earthy red. you will have better choice that I, but something close to R-132, G-46, B-39 or R-110, G-0, B-0.
curious to see what it looks like with shield same color as spears in this logo.
then in that same file would be worthwhile to see the logo with black (or darker of some sort...maybe the dark earthy red) background and outline of spears in the darker gold, then can play with what you think would look good for name (white is obviously one choice).
wonder what this would look like if shield was "filled in" meaning use the shield you drew in your other drawing with the hoplites above the name and have the name go through that shield. let me know if that doesnt make sense. thanks.
typed the above from my phone...probably tough to follow with some of the autocorrects. What I was trying to say is it would be great to see this concept with these darker spears, the name in black, and given the wider shield spread the spears out along the shield a bit (2 versions - 1-spears where dots are, 2- spears even wider dispersed across shield).
Really like the clean look, others like the idea of being behind the shield…Is it easy to make shield from edge of H to edge of N w 5 spears? same comment but like the color difference in name.
Can we tweak the size of the 3 hoplites a little to make them smaller but still centered over the name. This might make viewers eyes not quite as drawn to the image as much as it is now.
Is it possible to enhance (make more pronounced -might appear larger) the points of the spears…similar to the spears in your other design w three hooligans across the top of the name. I think more pronounced spears with similar tips and shading as your other spears would make this really good.
I know it’s difficult to describe sometimes but what I was trying to ask before was to see this top of the shield design, just flatter and covering from just outside the As w the 3 spears going through them all. Similar to your original design in this form just with the more detailed shield. Let me know if that doesn’t make sense. Appreciate the efforts.
Is it possible to see this shield in similar arc to the arc in your original drawing like this.
Also, can we see the shield some what completed with the spears through it similar what you did in your other drawings that has the completed shield below the name.
thanks...is it possible to see how this looks with the spears on the right of the shields. recognizing the first spear might look odd as it should start behind the shield but might look off.
is it possible to make shield a touch smaller and round with arrows going through as you did in your original submission without the bottom of the shield (the one we have ranked).
Any ideas on how to make the arc above the word look more like a shield. Understand this is tough with top view. Also, perhaps versions with 5 and 3 spears. thx
also, not sure why, but I dont like the way the crossing spears look. As you can imagine there are lost of options for that to be incorporated, but it doesnt seem to capture the look I am thinking of as much as one spear pointed outward.
perhaps another option is to keep the shield forward but turn the helmet and spear sideways???
Make the vertical lines into spears, and then take the curved line above Phalanx and have it be the top of a shield that sits behind the word 'Phalanx'

I will use it when back at my desk tonight. I just mean have the spears pointed towards 1-2 o’clock versus what I would call 3-4 o’clock now.
Also what I see is the spears on the left side of the shield…wanted to see them on the right side of the spear.

in this verson, is it possible to insert one of the others from entry 332 as the second A?

When you want to reference it, you simply mention the number of the entry (in this case, you could say: "I like the font in entry #295")
