Thanks for your submission. Its quickly becoming a fan favorite. The detail in the hat is great.
feedback:
- we all agree that the initial impression for this is "pimp hat". which i don't think is necessarily a bad thing. I think it adds character. If we toned down the pimp feel and leaned a little closer to spy I think that would help.
- THe "$" for the spy is a little too litteral. I think we can make it a normal "s".
- The typeface is certainly playful. I think we if we minimize some of the serifs in the "R" and "e" we can add a smidge of seriousness
Straightening the brim of the hat seemed to be the trick to nudge it from pimp to spy.
I straightened out the K and made the E an uppercase - to reduce a bit of the playfulness with the font. I mostly chose this one b/c you expressed a desire to see something different. Would you like me to try another font all together?
I actually really liked the curved brim of the hat. Potentially the best hat i've ever seen :) I think the red and the squares are what makes it look pimp-ish.
Maybe try to re-add the curved brim. And change the color of the hat. If you remove 2 of the 3 squares it might look a little more spy.
I like the font. i think it is casual...compared to the other entries. I would welcome some other options if you have a better idea.
For colors, I think the red is a bit strong, maybe try a few revs.
