Hi :) I tried to combine the feel of tradition & modern methods in my use of the hand-illustrated pie and frame juxtaposed with the off-set colors and non-conventional typography.
I thought the cherries could be removed (they're on a separate layer) and replaced with the filling of the pie. Another option would be to remove the fruit top completely and just swap out the color-field in the back for each type of pie (the orange would become violet for blueberry, gold for peach, etc.) I just saw this contest this afternoon and only had enough time to get this entry in at the round 1 buzzer! :) I'd be happy to show you some more options like I mentioned if I make the "top 5" cut, though.
We love your logo design and you are definitely in the top 5 as of right now. Can you show us options on this exact design, minus the cherry and changing out the orange color? We really like the one that has the slanted "pies" text. We also love the typography!
Thanks for the feedback & rank! I'll have some options up later this afternoon (my son Salem's 5th birthday is today, so we're having a Mr. Bean-themed birthday party for him when his brother gets home from school)
Hi again! Here are the revised. Let me know what you think about the pie illustration - is that accurate relative to your pies? Are you happy with it - I'd be happy to re-draw it if you aren't. I kinda rushed it to get it in on time, but - if it's not "broken", I won't try and fix it :)
Thanks so much for your help. OK - back to entry 47... Can you somehow incorporate the website - pjpies.com? Also - I get where the frame came from and I kind of like it when the text wasn't slanted, but we like the slanted text and now are wondering if the frame around it is too much? Would there be something else you can do so it doesn't look so much like a picture frame?
Hey guys - sorry, couldn't get to my computer until now. (I could log in on my phone, but it wouldn't let me type) Do you still want me to work on the changes?
