Discussion

Hey, thanks for the invite. Here my take on the logo.
The 2 stylized feet-tracks can be seen as a heart (feminin touch) as well as the 2 P's of PediPod.
Hope you like it! any feedback very appreciated.
Cheers,
David

Hi David, thanks for entering the contest. I do like it but not too sure about the heart yet. I understand the appeal to the feminine but perhaps to blatant. I need to think on this.

Maybe make the left foot the actual "P" in Pedi? Not sure how you would do the right foot for Pod.

I'm liking #33. The dash between Pedi and Pod is part of our trademark, can you put the dash in? Also, my business partner likes seeing more of a 3-D effect with shading. also mentioned was to somehow make it look "watery".

Hey, I just got a message from another designer within this contest, that the P was already used in another entry, which lead me to withdraw the entries. Gonna work on some other designs, sorry for the inconvenience!
Cheers,
David

David, On may 7th I made a comment to ALL designers to use the "P" as a foot. The idea was mine, not one particular designer.

Logo Designer
Alright, given the fact that you proposed the idea of the foot as a p before any submissions were made I am gonna upload my withdrawn entries again.
Thanks for making that clear!

Thanks David. If there are any issues, let me know and I will clarify.
Still liking #54 of your designs. Can you use the mirror effect in #54 like you used in #53?

Here the mirrored version

Hey here another try with the actual pedi-pod as part of the logo! It's simple, but catches the eye.
Cheers,
David

I like this! I'll be making more comments and re-ranking later this evening. Thanks.

Here a variation with a watersplash coming out of the pod, which gives the logo dynamic.

Hey, here some font variations. I can apply the mirror/3d-effect to any of these entries if you like it.

David, can you make the "P" in "Pod" lower case on #57? We'd like to see that please.

Like this?

My bad... I meant keep the "P" in Pedi like it was, only change would be the "P" in Pod from upper case to lower case which you did. Basically, change the "P" in Pedi back to capital. hope that makes sense.

Oh, and use #57 for the changes please.

Oh, alright I think now I got it!

I've received comments that #72 is good but it looks alien, referencing the feet at the top. Some said it makes it look like eyes.

i know, I made this one after having a look at the pictures you uploaded. The device also looks very modern and futuristc I think, which I tried to work into the logo.
Here another version with the heart concept.

Although alien, its still well received. Not sure about #119 need to think on that one.

On #111, would adding something around the current logo add to it? Perhaps depicting the shape of the product?

Out of the new ones, I think #130 is best. Can you smoothe out the blue parts more? You've got the basic shape but the opening on the top and bottom is too wide. The middle width is good.

Logo Designer
Okay I am not entirely sure what you meant with "smooth out", hope I got it right.

You understood. #143 is what I meant, the openings at the top and bottome were too wide before. But now that I look at the revision, I'm not sure it works as well as the previous #130.

#146 is cool, like the use of the black highlights. The challenge that I'm having with feedback from "friends" is that they already know that the name is "Pedi-Pod", the "P" and the "d" might be confusing (slightly) if you didn't know and may read it as "edi-po" with feet. Tough call but I kinda understand what they are saying.

Okay, I thikened (does that word exist?) the footprints a little bit and made them look more like a p and d!

(This comment references Entry #151)

Yep, that works.

Logo Designer
Hey, I made the footprints as well as the font thicker and tweaked the colours a little, so the logo pops out more.
Hope you like it! If you want me to variate anything or have some ideas just let me know!
Cheers

Also here a plain black and white version, so you know how the logo looks like in a fax or b&w print.
