On behalf of the Peace Feels Like Foundation AND all the people this is going to touch, we are beyond grateful for what you have created. This is NOT just a logo. This will be a representation of what is possible when our youth receive the support they need. We truly appreciate all of your efforts! We are ready to declare you as winner. Please email directly (on your own email) so we know we are able to continue communicating with you. Once I receive that, I will mark you as winner and you can begin sending the different logo options. You have been wonderful to work with!!!...Thanks so much! - Wendy
Your committee member is right and have a good eye, because sometimes optical illusions occur in design between light and dark shapes, or space vs. fill, so other shapes in rapport with other might appear thinner than others the same size.
In our case the sun burst top part puts optical illusion pressure on the smile part and this why appears a bit thinner than top sun circle, even they are the same thickness measured in the software. With this update I have fixed the issue by increasing a bit the thickness in the smile.
Hi. I was able to have the 'selection' phase reinstated, so we're good. The committee meets Monday morning (PST), so I'll be back in touch so that we can make final arrangements. One of the committee members requested you making a heavier bottom half circle (the smile) to see what that looks like...thanks!! (you are the winner!! :-)
I really appreciate the amazing feedback and kind words!!
Great choice, this is a balanced version with the larger logo.
After selecting winner, I will start prepare the logo package with this version of logo + additional variations (text layout, B&W, colored background etc.)
It is alright, I think after selecting winner this chat here is no longer available, but the private message is still available for us to communicate after winner declaration.
I just sent a private message for you to see how it works (up page near your username).
Hi. Not sure if I made a mistake by declaring you a winner, but I was not able to directly communicate with you on Logo Tournament. Do I need to do something different?? Thanks!
Thank you very much for the very kind words!! I am very happy to hear that you and the team likes it!
After selecting winner, we will have two weeks in case any else adjustment is needed.
Sure, all the variations with icon layout on top of text, icon left of text, icon detached, color, colored background, grey and B&W will be sent. This you meant by all variations?
Here we have two default files to upload (.jpg and native .eps file) and the additional files package I will be sending through email.
You will get a package with the files in different formats and sizes for quick use (.jpg, .png (transparent), .psd, .ai and .eps)
Let me know what version you decided, in order to prepare for the package (currently 1st ranked is the original submission, while the 4th ranked is the revision with the icon a bit larger) so I need to know this before I get to prepare the package.
Hi! We have chosen your logo as the winner!!!!!! We have loved it from the start...although there were a couple of people that did not like it at first...but it grew on them. It’s been an interesting process! Questions: once we select you as a winner, do we still get to work with you before you submit the files? And can you send all the variations? - we want to know what the file format is that we’ll receive. Can we receive a jpg and png file? Or will we be receiving the “native file” (the software file in which they created it - like photoshop or illustrator)? Do we need to decide all of this before...or can we work this out after? You have been absolutely wonderful to work with! We are very grateful!!
Hi. Would you please do another submission, making the graphic larger. Then a second submission with 'Peace Feels Like Foundation' underneath, centered. Thanks!
I appreciate your efforts ...I actually like your original design...we’re meeting again in the morning...I think everyone does too...but they wanted to see alternative ways of the graphic...quite honestly, I think it’s brilliant!...we’ve worked well together!
and does the 'smile' line also need a line extending on the left side?? I personally like it the way it is, but one of the members wanted to see it added :-)...thanks!!
My committee really likes your logo..everything about it :-) AND...could we see a couple of other options? 1) using the logo, place the words around it, in a circle. 2) Centering the word 'foundation'...and having a line on either side of the word ------- Foundation --------- (testing some things out...) and can we see that also in red and aqua? (We all happen to like the purple and orange!)....thanks so much!!
Can you please make PEACE a bit smaller and feels like a bit larger so it is more even. It also needs to have the word "foundation" in it. The symbol can also be a bit smaller.
I really like this...alot! we have our board committee meeting 8:30 pst Friday morning. I really liked the bullying brand you showed me. Can you use the lettering and even the mosaic-like pieces? Would it work to use PFL? Then peace feels like underneath? If you fon’t Think it would look good, no worries...but I really like this one a lot! Thanks so much!
Yes I also like kidscape "K" letter logo, but I wouldn't suggest a similar style to be used with "P" letter as it will get very close to their brand (because it's in the same business).
I have another idea with "P" letter here on paper, was thinking about how the teens will interpret the "peace" concept, how they see peace like, because teens will understand peace more simple than us adults, so for them (as I remember being a kid) peace can translate simply to being without problems, in a single word happy. :-)
That is the motivation for I used the "emoji" smile as icon, because they also use the "emoji" smile often and can convey an instant message or attract them better.
I was just looking at the kids cape logo and really like it...I'm wondering if we could do something like that with the peace sign?? Have the sign tilted? Maybe? Maybe not? But I really do like that one!....the concept is really good
You are a definite contender now. The board really likes that you created a symbol. Do you have any other ideas of symbols? You are absolutely correct that a simply symbol, combined with the name will be best. Possibly get creative with fonts and the positioning of the words. Thanks!
I agree with what you are saying. And what you described, in terms of the logo is really creative. However, I'm not wild about the design. Please keep trying!!
My concept for your consideration:
- icon composed by a smile face + sad face combined together. The sad expression is also like a cool hat on top of the smile face.
The sad face expression is grey, while the smile face is purple, to express the qualities of joyful children.
The eyes orange, to express the light spark that happy children have in their eyes.
While a complex design might look cool if it's displayed on a big canvas, I advise against a complex design, as I see you want to use the logo in mediums as mobile phones, clothing, social media.
A complex design in small sizes will look crowded and illegible and will translate poor into these mediums (mobile, social media, clothing).

Based on your feedback sun rays integrated + small variation eyes + new font + font layout variation:
-#56, #57, #60, #61.
New icon also based on your feedback with the peace sign made of single continuous line (as kidscape) + smile:
- #58, #62, #63
Happy to hear about the symbol and the board. I will sketch more ideas on paper and will come back with updates.
Sure, I can take the top dots out.
Also great idea with the rays, let me make the change and will come back to see how it is.
#20, #22 - same, against colored background with colors used here.

Here is a brand similar to yours, take a look on their branding: https://www.chromaticbrands.com/kidscape-help-with-bullying/
