Thank you very much for your design submissions! I think you put some good intelligent design in this, but I think it can be refined a little? What about using #53, but changing the color to the blue of my logo @ pdxmicro.com? Also, maybe bring down the drop shadow some? For some reason the drop shadow looks a little too big. Also, the X doesn't look quite right and may need some work on the angles of the legs on "p" and "d"?

Wow, I just noticed your #54 submission. That orb in the middle is kind of neat - and I assume it has an "M" in it? I think it's pretty small - but not sure if bigger looks any better, lol - sometimes smaller and more subtle is a good thing. Maybe try doing something with that again with the color choices I was telling you about earlier? :)
That's indeed letter "M" for micro. I was also trying to create reflection from the shadow the rest of th graphic creates. I will post revisions shortly...
I am very glad you entered this design contest, lol. It seems like a lot of other designers don't read the briefing at all - it's refreshing to get someone who understands!
Thx for kind words. You have some good designers in this contest. I uploaded the version with colors from your site... See #56 #57. Also I did reverse logo/image search on tineye and google to make sure no other company is using these shapes...
Thank you again for your submissions. I somehow think the design is missing something - maybe some sharp edges or a box design around it? I'm not quite sure really... maybe less of a drop shadow? I do think the blue looks good - but so does the orange, lol.
Sorry I was put in Logo Court (which I won:) so I couldnt post anything new. Today & monday Im away from my studio only on iphone and I will submit more variations on tuesday.
I see that they extended my tournament (I was worried a little :) They must have done it because of the holiday? Not sure, but I'm glad they did, lol.
1. For some reason, when I see this logo, I see two horseshoes facing opposite directions - I'm not sure if there's something that you can do that would remove that perception?
2. I think the silver in the "p" and "d" look better, but it has way too much gradient in it. I'm not a fan of overly used gradients - especially for printing purposes. Try making it a very light grey with little to no gradient?
3. Is there any way that you can make it look more vicious? I see the resemblance to elite gaming, but the viciously fast is missing.

Hey, Contest is in top5 mode where only top 5 ranked designers can submit their entries. I did yesterdays through iphone which is connected to my office comp. so they werent as good as could have been. Gradient seemed lighter for some reason... I will work on this today and post smtg soon.
Thank you very much for the new design ideas, but I'm not liking the star's for the p/d at all. I think the X is on the right track, but the p/d definitely need some work (they don't seem to go well with the X?). The mods of this contest were able to increase the design time for this project because of the holiday. I'll also be adding more money to the prize pool in order to warrant some better time/design ideas.
I have an idea? Maybe think about a star like #39 but in a bunch of abstract art similar to your "X" ? I don't know, lol... Just throwing some ideas out there :)
