Funny, I´m laughing, because the "antecessor" of our (clearly more intelligent) PAUL in Germany was named "TED", an abbreviation or TEle Dialogue", which simply was a telephone voting tool, started in the 80s.
#11: ok, I admit: looks as if the arrow-arms work, when they have an angle. But: pls take care, that the exclamation mark does not look like a fylfot somehow. Regarding shoes: the more symbolized style of the exclamation mark is better than the detailed shoes of the question mark.
I can see campaigns where you have these two talking to each other discussing specific polls! and we can give you various positions for the "hands" to use for different applications...
Just fyi... happy to make adjustments if needed... but I am on vacation from 6/13 -22 and will not be able to respond as quickly.. while I will have my laptop along only checking once a day.
Hi Carol, sorry, due to bank holidays and some health challenges I disappeared a while. I am going to select your proposal as the winner, thats quite clear, because you picked up the wordmark in a perfect way so that we can "play" with the writing and the evolving characters. Right now we can imagine some nice animations. At the beginning of a poll the "P" will evolve out of the writing, symbolizing, that Paul is going to ask something. Results will be presented from the evolving "l", the exclamation mark.
I would appreciate, if I could get the two guys in a little bit higher resolution in a file. Then I could mark, where I would appreciate refinings or slight adjustments (e.g.: the hair. I am not sure, if these haircuts work, if Paul is a little figure on the tv screen, so instead of wisps the hair could be more symbolized as an area/plain).
Especially the area of the arms and arrows need a final refinement, but I guess you know that already.
My busine mail adress is werner.kloetsch@digame.de
Werner... sorry about the complications...hope all is better. we are really not allowed to contact you by email before the end of the contest. I am happy to make adjustments where I can during the contest and then if selected, after we can continue to tweak the characters.
The way LT works... when you select winners a high resolution version and a vector version is provided through the site. Then after that is approved additional versions can be worked outside the contest. I will provide some standard formats and versions and some minor variations at no extra charge. IF you need additional work done we have reasonable rates through my firm. We are also specialists in promotional materials if that is something you require.
Not exactly sure what you want in the hair cut but will enter a few options for you.
ok, then let´s try it by written briefing: 1) the triangular hands of the guys should pe positined in an rightangle to the arms; it looks, as if Mr. Questionmark´s (left) hand is placed in a different angle 2) the right ellbow of Mr. exclamation looks as if it is notfinally worked out (overlaying edge) 3) haicuts: pls use vectorized, 2-dimensional plane haircuts (e.g. here: http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/cartoon-hair-styles-13399191.jpg) instead of brushmarks with slight gradients; haircuts nonetheless need to be unique, special (which has been done quite well in your proposal) 4) length and thickness of arms: pls adjust, so that all arms (length of all elements in total) finally are of same length and thickness 5) shoes: straight, parallel alligned under body
I will select you as winner, maybe exchanging files is much easier.
changes done for LT 1, 2, 4 - I can adjust hair and feet position in email exchange if that is okay so we can go back and forth with options and talk it through.
