We are so happy you submitted a new entry because your concept is so great!
Can you change the font so its all in the same font? Can you make Painting or Painting Inc larger so its more readable on truck sign? We would prefer the name to be all in the same color.
Want to stay away from the flowers.
Is it possible to do a few wave lines at the base of the bristles rather then one large wave? Can we use a very deep dark blue? Also, could we see how the mountain would look with green up about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way? Then brown at the top before the snow starts?
We know it needs something tropical in there but not sure what to add. Hopefully you'll have a great idea.
Was looking at some artwork at Konabrewersfestival.org and they have some mountains, although the style is not as crisp and clean as we would like.
Please be patient with us. We like your concept!

Here are the requested revisions. However, to be honest, I would not have gone this direction. the request for the dark blue moves the logo farther away from a tropical look and makes the overall feel more somber. lighter, brighter colors are more synonymous with "tropical". Also, I feel the request for multiple waves and the green to brown color request in the mountain makes the logo overly complex. usually keeping logo designs simpler is better. I'm also disappointed you requested to stay away from the flowers, as i felt they added the necessary Hawaiian element to the design without being cliché as usually a palm tree or a pineapple would be in a logo. Flowers also have a better connection to your business (flowers are often described as if they were painted) whereas other tropical elements (palm tree, pineapple, etc.) would send the wrong message. I honestly did not even want to post this concept, but thought it better for you to see its shortcomings due to the requested revisions, than to simply explain them only. Thanks, and I hope my comments do not come across as too critical -- I only want to give you my advice/suggestions (and from my logo design experience) as to what I feel is the best way to represent your business

Yours is the logo that instantly tells me that this is a painting company. I agree with what you said and appreciate your advice. You can withdraw that last entry. How about this: Since our island has a volcano how about making the mountain peek look more like a volcano? Go back to the wave you had but maybe a more traditionally shaped wave that is associated with surfing? Would like to have the overall colors be more tropical: lime green, turquoise, deeper blue, yellow etc. Would like the font to be black. Would like to see a tropical element. I hear what you are saying about the palms being cliche, but here they are just what our trees are. Everyone has them in their yard so they don't feel cliche or overdone. I hear what you are saying about the flowers but they just aren't an option as they are "too feminine". Any ideas you have are greatly appreciated.

Also, Feel free to change the shape of the brush if you need a wider brush. Was looking at the 1st place winning logo for St. Louis Painting in the portfolio section and they had a more elegant brush handle and it was a wider brush. We really liked it. The brush was wider and shorter and that would give the option of having the brush centered over the lettering and having room for another element? Maybe then the P and the T in Paramount could be taller as in some of the other entries? We really liked that. Just a thought.

I was planning on submitting a final revised version, but due to your lack of answering my previous message, I'm not going to be able to do so. I do wish you luck with the competition and hope you find a logo that pleases you.
