Hi! I see my Entry #99 is on 2 place, so i wanna know if you could let me work in some changes, for example i see you prefer different font style as i have on this one. So i can change it and see if it looks better for you.
I think it is important to let you know that you should express something about what you do which is: insurance so your "symbol" must be really professional and specially "trustworthy", this is very important, as designers we need to help the client to have the right symbol so every user that sees it can have the instant idea of trust. That's why i made this symbol #99 which is secure, masculine and professional and it doesn't look to loud. For example the corners are rounded because when you use symbols with sharp corners you send the message of something insecure and a little violent, so if you are a company of "insurance" you can't send this message, people need to trust in you in the first second they see the logo.
So that was something important i wanted to share with you and sometimes the designers doesn't explain all the significant in the shapes.
Of course! Just remember that in judging phase only the designer on 1 place can submit new entries. So if you can change me to 1st place i will be able to upload new files (because now the system don't let me).
The circles are to give more dynamism to the symbol, but if you want i can erase them. It's just a detail to make the shapes with more "style and movement".
That's interesting. I am here visiting my sister and she asked me what the lines were for. I told her that it could be buildings or a graph show positive progression. We then discussed the circle and she thought that it represented pretection of the lines.
The lines are as you said a graph to show positive progression, exactly, and also they can be seen as "buildings". The circles create dynamism to the graphs but your sisters is right! the style of the circles are seen as a protection to the shape. When you add this kind of circles surrounding a symbol it can be seen as something positive in insurance companies.
I will upload the design without the circles so you can compare both ways, but i think it looks better with the circles.
