Of course, on obvious 2nd symbolic level we have "O", as initial for Oulu, with group gathered within, as symbol of regional scientists, coming together!

...maybe to elaborate this further.

I'm always tryng to give meaning to my designs, avoiding generic and meaningless imagery,...this design was supose to represent cell, with one segment from the cell wall extracted to symbolize outside intervention on the cellular level, as part of a biotech research! ..."bottle" was not part of this design. The ring looks better as a narrower one, but could you make it the original color and not this dark? Also the text is disturbing in 3 different colors. thanks!

Hey, this design is now ranked as the 5th in the finalists. Could you still try a different font for the text? Could you also make the round shape in the design a bit thinner, and maybe this element could be of different color than the rest, or maybe the text could be in a different color? Thanks!
