hello and i dont know really how to tell you my sorry for the vote that i could not push your logo through.... i hope you really accept my apologize deep from my heart ..... do me one favor send me an email to thomas.klein@needforseatusa.com i will do something to honor your passion and outstanding work
what a f.... decission the whole team is upside down .... never had such a tough call .... fingers crossed for you i really like the attitude that you brought in .....
First of all, I won`t disclose anything we discuss here to any third party.
Yes, I completely understand now what "Order Frog" is about.
So I thought of replacing the bag with a star, to suggest that the customer is treated like a star/VIP. Also, I tried to tie in the idea of cinema (cinema stars), clubs (the lights in the club) etc
hey, and wow for this really awesome comments.... and yes we are aware of that so let me explain a little more the app is designed less for delivery and or pickup and take home (classical door dash or uber eats etc.) let me give you 3 samples what it is used for roght now.....
1. typical German Beergarden
customer is ordering on his smartphone all drinks and food pays the check and picks it up at the counter when ready.
2. Bar and Entertainment Place
Customer is ordering drinks and snacks .. scans the table and got delivered the food by server ......
3. Cinema
Customer scans the QR Code on his Seat and orders Popcorn coke pays it and got it delivered to his seat...
So all this Places work under the same Framework with diffrent style and for sure dedicated to the Bar Club that uses the system....
so in the first idea we want to create a logo that shows a frog "as a friend" that is taking care of this diffrent cases ....
during the contest the idea changed and this is what we have right now... and maybe you understand now a little better our issue with the Bag ;-) and this is why we want to keep this as "non item related and nutral as possible" and what else the but is following with somehow association to anything ... sorry if i confuse you right now more than necessary but just for your understanding of the problems that we are facing here ..... i wish we would have created something easier ......
And this is another example on how you can add various categories in the future: the categories don`t "affect" the icon and it remains unchanged and recognizable.
2. if you add those items, the app icon will become overly crowded and not readable when small.
3. once you`ll establish your business and become well-known, there won`t be needed any association with what you deliver, Your customers will know what you can deliver (doordash is instantly recognizable without explicitly showing what they deliver)
4.if you add those items and you want to add other categories in the future, the icon will become crowded and perhaps less recognizable (changed). And not to mention that it will be quite difficult to squeeze few more things in the bag.
Therefore, in order to leave some room for future categories, I think we should leave the icon alone. Less is more.
I also think you had a great idea to add a subtitle with what you deliver. This way, it would be much easier in the future to add extra categories simply by adding few words. Or it could simply be removed when not needed.
hello just one more thing that the team is holding back from voting you as a winner ..... we need one additional thing that shows an "relation, / association" with that what the app is doing .... basically drinks food , fast food, and cinema items like popcorn chips to order by app for pickup at the counter / Bar or delivery to your table / seat....... so any thing like an undeline wording / icon or whatever is appreciated and would help us so much ....

Regarding the items you want to add (food, drinks, popcorn etc) my suggestion is not to add them for the following reasons:
1. every large delivery company has very simple app icons in which they don`t show every item they`re delivering. Eg: foodpanda.com, takeaway.com
https://medium.com/@uroojmahar84/the-rise-of-online-food-delivery-ventures-in-marketplace-c6985c4f3e92

Just my 2 cents.
