i like the idea of using an O as the logo as it will enable us to incorporate it into the name. Let me know if you have any other creative ideas for an O that it minimalistic, yet unique and easy to understand, that we can use as a stand-alone logo, but also use as part of the name 'Opad' if we wanted to. i have posted a response on the main page with links to logos that I like in case you want to get a better idea of our taste.

the logo doesnt necessarily need to be an, this is just an idea.

Thanks for your help!

Hi, here are some ideas for a custom wordmark for OPAD. I'm using repeated shapes for minimalism, which are flipped or rotated to represent the O, P, A, and D. This effectively repeats a perfect circle - O - for each letter. A wordmark is great because it won't pigeonhole your logo into one category or another -- it's completely versatile and can go with imagery representing all sides of the business without competing with it.

Wow, what a nice thing to say! We are supposed to limit our contact with contest holders to this website during a contest. Did you want to speak about my logo designs or some other kind of work? I have a portfolio website that you can look at -- just click my name to the left and you'll find a link to my site. Thanks!

FYI: It's not a font. It's a custom wordmark.

i would like to select your design as the winner however we operate under a variety of brands (opad, olighting, ospaces, odesigner, ofloors, etc etc). As such the single wordmark would not suffice. would it be possible for you to provide each letter of the alphabet in that same style if we awarded your design the winner?

Hi Andrew, it sounds to me like what you're asking for is the creation of an entire custom font. That's a very laborious effort that requires costly software, special attention to the spacing of characters and letter pairs, and many hours of labor. Even if you didn't want an actual font that you can install, but just vectors of every letter of the alphabet, that's still additional labor that is beyond the scope of a logo contest. I'm not permitted to offer something like that to you for free -- on the site, that is considered a "backdoor deal" -- nor would I give away my labor and ideas without compensation.

All that said, I would of course be willing to continue working with you to flesh out additional wordmarks for a reasonable rate. But I can't negotiate additional work until the contest is complete without violating the designer code of conduct here at LogoTournament. The contest is for one logo, and I would be very pleased if you chose my design. I hope you understand that I have to follow the rules here, and that what you're requesting is far beyond the scope and value of a $250 contest for a single logo. Thanks!
