I love what your doing...As a coastal/surf artist myself I love to see businesses centered around protecting our shores and coasts.

My idea was the wave in the earth shape, I think you can see some of my sketches that I uploaded... I am no designer, but the concept wave for example in 89 was from me.

Still want to keep the round Earth looking image in the logo rather than the square.

Would be great if you could give it another go.

could it make sense on 102 to have the earth form in the back ground of the round globe instead of just the two blue colors? Could be a bit abstract.. Dont think that is taking anyone else's idea since the word planet is in the name of the company.

oh ja... maybe a bit more green some how in 102

#112 and #113 are variations on my earlier theme. This time in a globe shape. The "clouds" are actually the land masses of the globe.

thanks. Can you make the wave look a bit more like a curling wave. Direction is fine. Also, I think the green board looks too much like a leaf. I would rather go with a more traditional surf board image. Maybe you can move it to a different spot on the globe.

I am returning to your design, as my favorite. I think it is close, but I still would like to see some other ideas.

Again, can you give the wave form a bit more curl to it?

Actually maybe take the board/ leaf out completely.

There is a simplicity and attraction that I like in your design that I am not finding in the others.

I hope you respond, because I need to make the decision soon

Unfortunately Site rules restrict contact off site until after contest is concluded.
I try to respect that rule for the fairness of the other designers and out of respect for site rules.

Once a contest is concluded, off site contact is open just as if you were one of my in house clients.

Can you take a look at the image that I uploaded?

A couple of sketches that I made.

I really like the back drop with the cloud continents, your wave with the white outline and the rough round shape of the globe.

Was wondering if you could change the wave shape a bit closer to the sketch of mine top left and maybe do one with and one with out the board. Ignore the sun.

I think the wave coming from the left to right is better... seems to work better bringing attention to the logo rather than away from it (your original design)

Also I think your wave shape might be better then mine.. maybe just a bit bigger and a bit more curl.

Hope that makes sense.

Placement of the board... not sure... middle of the logo or middle of the wave.

Scott - Yeah Ripcurl is always in the back of my mind because I do a lot of this type of work. They have such a simple design, that most waves may resemble it slightly. (My personal logo included : www.paultilly.net )
They were attempting to give a wave that resembles an "R" which is very cool.

You are OK as long as you keep the global shape with the cut out wave.

Could you put a bit more white border around the waves?

Also, could you make the logo and the biline about 25 % bigger?

And could you try a placement of the surfboard in the logo.. maybe in the middle???

Hmmm..

135 is kind of cool.

I still think the wave could be a bit bigger and more hollow.

For sure with a thicker white boarder.

I would like to see more of the wave and a bit less planet.

Maybe the board is good there or directly in the middle????
