Here is the icon I came up with for your marathon/races. It is a hybrid of the shape of Utah and a snow-capped mountain peak. I kept it simple and flat so that it will ensure clean and crisp embroidery, as requested. I also kept it to a 2-color design (3 counting white), to keep production fast and affordable.

Let me know if you would like to see any specific color options or a more detailed version for web/print, and I will be happy to provide whatever you need. Thanks for your time!

And here is the main icon on it's own. As you can see, the icon works great without words, which is what I would suggest for embroidery or other smaller spaces where the entire logo may not be as applicable.

I forgot to mention: the star is in the exact location of Ogden on the Utah state shape! It's not just there for looks ;) Although it does look as if it is in the sky over the runner.

1-color option! This is obviously important, since sometimes you will be limited. A strong one-color design is a must.

We like alot about this icon. However the runner is not contemporary enough...
If possible, try to use a close resemblance to the snowcap we use in our current logo (it ties into our foundation logo).
Update the runner a bit and adjust the snow cap and lets see where we're at. Oh, the star. The symbolism is great but at first glance, the whole thing together has a texas taste to it. Any ideas other than a star?
