Although your brief mentioned that you cannot use the actual olympic rings, I thought I'd put #7 and #8 past you in case these rings are different enough to be acceptable.

PS... The idea behind the single ring is that of the suppliers wrapping the athletes (symbolised by the flame) in all that they need.
