I like #9 more than #4. Still doesn’t jump at me though..

I know what I like but I'm having a hard time expressing my thoughts..I've looked at some of your other work and it's nice. I'm going to have my racing partner have a look and see what he thinks as well.

We like the addition of the tree, and some color. I am wondering though, can suggestions given to another designer in a message be given to the other designers too, or should they be posted in the brief comments?

Yes, as long as it's posted in the general brief.

This way it's fair game for everyone.

Remember it's to your advantage, because you never know what you'll get :)

I am a little concerned, as I have already suggested it to another designer in a message, and he did attempt it, but with a completely different logo, and it was not to our liking. That same designer was upset because he felt that another had already copied an idea of his.

I didn't know if I should continue to pursue the idea with him alone, or suggest it to the others.

Here is my take...

This is your logo contest and you want the best possible logo (based on your brief). You owe it to yourself to update the brief as much as possible so everyone can give you ideas. Do not worry about hurting someones feelings, to bad. If you have a new direction you want to look at, absolutely post the new idea you have for everyone! All the designers here want you to be happy with your new logo and are not preoccupied with loosing the contest.

#108 ... Hey nbman, just thought that a tach/speedometer (representative gauges) might be perfect.
That's kinda all you really look at one you come off the line :-)

Looks good. My only comment would be is that they almost look like an afterthought if you know what I mean? I guess to a degree they are. Likely anyone else looking at it wouldn't even notice. We're having a hard time being critical at this point. We like all the top ones....:)
