Can you experiment with different fonts..that font feels like "tech" not "news"..i do like the creative feel of only being able to see part of the NW and the hard edges it creates

i like the white background best..with a font similar to 164. can you make the color rectangle shorter? maybe 2/3 or 1/2 half its height..
