For your consideration. Wordmark for NW indicating direction and growth. Globe behind for the global aspect. Feedback welcome. thanks

I REALLY like the fonts used below in the "NW ECONOMY" and slogan...can we keep those and change the image above. I dont like the full globle-maybe experiment with 2/3 or 3/4 circles and find another way to incorporate the "NW" in there aside from that cursive looking font. Thank you for your submissions!

I visually really like the semi or partial circle above the letters..but i am not sure I like this exact "NW" combination. As I said i love the text below but would be interested in seeing some other ideas for above that incorporate circular themes...

(that was in reference to 89)

maybe also experiment with extending the semi circular line outside the "NW" in a thinning solid line down into the text below-i'd be really interested to see how that looked

I am excited about how this is starting to look!!

1. having two "NW"s in the graphic and text seems a bit redundant to me, could we find a way to only have one
2. I REALLY like the semi circular effect but am not sure I like the solid grey bottom part of the letters-could you try a different effect?
3. Could you experiment with color variations and gradiant effects on the top part of the letters as well

THANK YOU!!

Dropped the "NW" from the title and tweaked the gradient for the icon. Please let me know if this is going in the right direction. Thanks for the Feedback, it really helps.

This is definitely going in the right direction. do you think you could pull the NW off center and move it to the right or left a bit and maybe introduce a more 2/3 or 3/4 circle that goes down into the text instead of the exact half?

Could you also experiment with putting a subtle mountain range skyline or seattle city skyline through the NW?

I really like this......

More like this?

I need to sleep on the city or mountain scene. My concern is the potential clutter that it may produce.

Client
that is fine..i was thinking keeping the diameter of the circle larger and helping to eat up some of open space to the right of the NW instead of shrinking the size of the circle..apologize for that being ambiguous on my part. does that make sense to you..thoughts?

Client
IDEA
could you mock 89 with the logo moved down to where the "NW" in text is now and remove the NW text
change the bottom color of the logo from the color it is now to a red/light maroon
create some sort of 1/4 circle or circular thin or tapering line over the top right of everything?
shrink the slogan text and move it out of center to the right

that might just be the winner....

Logo Designer
Going to work on that now! Sounds promising. thanks

Is this what you had in mind?

Client
that is EXACTLY what I had in mind!

What are your thoughts professionally? I'm not sure i'm totally sold on the small slogan font...i like the size but would be interested in seeing some other type faces that you think would look good. Maybe introduce some color into the slogan to contrast the black text above. I also would be interested in seeing a "." at the end of the slogan. thoughts? WE ARE GETTING CLOSE I THINK!!

Logo Designer
Great! My thoughts for the slogan...Sans Serif (no tails on the ends of letters) work better for small type. So far as the color, that will have to be your call. I would only use one of the three colors that we are currently using (Black, Maroon, or Gold Tone). I will submit a few fonts for the slogan. Let me know if they appeal to you and then I will then submit the slogan with the three color variations for your review. Thanks.

TrajanPro for the slogan (same as "Economy")

What are your thoughts on maybe throwing 2 or 3 tapering, light or white latitudinal lines that come somewhere into the "ONOM" part of ECONOMY at slightly varying lengths from upper right to lower left..

Like a bar chart?

Client
was thinking more horizontally oriented than vertical, slanting slightely up...just an idea

Also-could you shine an ever so subtle light on "ECONOMY" text or add a slight drop shadow just to give it a little more body or feel...not looking for anything major, something subtle

With a gradient stripe as requested...I think?

you're right i didn't really like how that looked..I really like the feel of the text "bugy" used down in #4 ranked logo for the slogan (all caps, maybe also try lower case in that font if you can find it). I'd also be interested in seeing this same logo with some different color combination-try anything you like!

Another color arrangment. Only 2 colors, no gradients.

I REALLY! like the colored "ECONOMY" and slogan as opposed to the black...

could we try #119 with a more khaki color instead of the yellower/golder tone?

INTERESTED IN SEEING ANY OTHER COLOR COMBO YOU CAN COME UP WITH..maybe try a brighter blue or green...

Bolder stroke on the word "Economy".

Am looking for a light khaki with more slightely more brown than yellow tones to it..like the current #4 logo color

Client
I think I prefer the thinner text instead of the bolder stroke..

For the Khaki...Lighter or darker from this design. Do you have access to a Pantone Color Matching book? If so, I can match the color exactly to your specigfications. If not, you may be able to visit a local print shop and get the PMS numbers. If this is not possible, i am sure we can tweak ou the colors.

I really like the khaki color you have right now..could you maybe throw a medium bold-lined square around the "nw" logo and remove the semi circular effect just for one comp for me to take a look at..could you try a royal blue with that khaki instead of a red

thank you so much-we are getting there!

My last entry had the bold type for Economy. This replaces that one. Sorry for the mistake. I will work on the revisions.

Witht the box and the blue...

Client
Could we try to make the box slightly more squareish or taller than it is wide, as opposed to how it is now..feel free to tweek "nw" graphic to be slightely less wide. I kind of like how this looks. What do you think?

Logo Designer
Tweaked the box, it looks better. I tried a completely square icon and box...Not so great. So, I stretched the icon and box slightly and it helped the overall fell. The design does look good in my opinion. What are your thoughts?

(This comment references Entry #127)

Logo Designer
Do you think the box may isolate the "NW" from the complete company name?

Client
i REALLY LIKE IT!!! Could be try changing the color of the box to the khaki and looking at a couple varying amounts of thickness (maybe one thinner and a couple thicker).

Sorry to do this to you-but the more I look at them the more I like it without the box as it is right now. I like the solid color box feel with a white logo inside of it and the text to the right, but I am not sure how we could make the logo white/khaki inside a solid lighter blue/red square?

http://www.alaska.edu/ if you scroll down that is a good example of what I am referring to..not sure if we can pull it off but just an idea

thank you for all of your work-i look forward to getting something finalized!!

tweaked the icon a little. What are your thoughts? I will be away from the computer for a while, leave feedback and I will pick this up a little later in the day. thanks

Is this OK?

(This comment references Entry #132)

Client
i definitely like the thinner one better. Do you see how that could be a latitude line on the globe formed by the circular shape-or am i crazy? could you add one more on each side of the one already there but slightly thinner to compliment it, that maybe come into the top of the letters but have stopped before the bottom so the three only intersect on the top line created by the letters. thank you kyle for everything.

noy sure if i did this correctly??

(This comment references Entry #138)

Client
yes you did..haha although i dont like how it looks-it was a bit out there! Another thought-where the white notch comes through the arc on 133, could you make it the red from the logo just in the crossover area from the arch (and don't continue the red down into the text)...

Logo Designer
Sorry for the delay and getting the other design today. However, was thinking of the feedback that you sent. I really like the idea of the latitude lines. This entry is the earth tilted on its axis higlighting the Northwest. Just an idea. I will complete the other design later tonight. Thanks

I like the global feel and idea but this design strikes me a bit too generic-that you could see anywhere? I do really like the concept and would be interested to see what else we might be able to come up with...
