Here is my initial design I came up with after reviewing your brief: #1. I wanted the logo to instantly convey your relationship to the NFL, while still being its own memorable brand. I will keep posting other variations and ideas, as I finish them. But, feel free to comment on this in the meantime.
I am confident we can work together to come up with exactly what you are looking for. Love the idea by the way—I know a lot of people that could benefit from this, myself included.
Hey there, Thanks for your feedback and nice note - certainly rooting for you. Unfortunately, we've been advised not to use the logo which led to not using the term "NFL". We are going to use "Football Decoder". It works for some of the entries, but the logo based ones are tough. Sorry for change in direction - I'm sure it's annoying.
Hey, no problem. Here is a revised entry with the proper wording: #16. I also added some techy dots to the back of the shield, to further imply decoding. This shield is not the NFL's shield, and I thouhgt it would be smart to use one, BUT I can go away from the emblem route if you aren't digging it.
I forgot to mention: I added the ":" into the design, to reflect odds, betting, digital numbers, etc. I think it gives it a nice final touch to reflect what you do.
Here is my favorite of my new ones, with the ".com" included: #35
And here it is all contained within one football shape: #36
Also, I forgot to point this out: if you end up going with your top-ranked design, you should have him make you a version without the white stripes. Those are only on college balls obviously. Not sure if that matters or not, but if you are strictly NFL-related for now, you wouldn't want those included. That's just my sports/design brain making a visual connection. ;)
I forgot to include the data collection dots, so here is a revised tough-guy version: #38
I think that is all I have! If any of these catch your eye and you want revisions, let me know. Whomever you have ranked as #1 can still submit changes during Judging Mode. That way, you can also still ask your other designer for a non-striped football version. Unless, like I said, you are ok with it. Totally your call!
Thanks for a fun contest. I always love working on sports logos!
