I made the gray lighter

moving "next" to left so that the upper and lower letter E is looked connected

shorten letter E a bit

I made additional element of E in gray color

Define the E. Still look like a step but more of an E look

fixing the shape of half circle object to make it more perfect curve

Cool idea. Any other variations? Use of q circle logo maybe
