New Star EnvironmentalLogo Design Contest

I like #59, but the two color design might be a little too bland. I really do not like the green in #58 or the gradient in "STAR". It has too much going on. Also, would it be possible to see a slightly different star shape? It looks more like the sun on the horizon than a star. But I do like the idea of the horizon - maybe play with having a star shape - even if it's not on the horizon. It could be up in the sky. Can you show me a few different ideas on the star - a different shape in the same position and a version with a star more up in the sky - maybe like the "north star" up in the right corner. Thoughts?

Peter the new entries from #102 forward are a step backward. I do not want a clipart 5-pointed star stuck in the middle. I'd like a more stylized starburst of some kind on the horizon. And I'd like to see a version that has the star above the horizon (not centered) - more in the top right area like it's the North Star in the sky.

NOTE: I really like the way #59 makes the bottom of the star look more diffused - it's wider, etc. The bottom is not the exact mirror image of the top. I'd like to retain that design aspect for the version with a star on the horizon. You can drop it for the version with the star in the sky area.

Also, can you please add just a little space between NEW and STAR. We'd like to see it look a little more like two words.

Hi Peter,

I like these a lot. Very good options. It seems that some of the new options are pretty dark. The blue in #138, for example, doesn't have the blue from #136 that I liked. And the shape of the box is different.

Back to that blue and the same box, with the burst coming form the left. I've presented different shapes of boxes just to give an impression of possibilities. You can arrange the box, horizon and star however you like!

Is there any way for you to drop me a version that uses the icon of #136 with the font that was used in #181. I'd like to see that icon with a different font. I don't know the font name so if you can find one very similar (or just cut/paste for now) that's fine. Thanks!

It's not the same font but I think it's close. 3 different executions of the font here.
