Thanks for all of your submissions, Bens0n! You have been busy! I am wondering if you could try the following: Take design #119 and make the swirls in the centre colorful w/ no colors (grey and green) on the outside. I just want to see what the design would look like with just the line of color. We would probably play with the logo that way. You might also try slightly different swirl shapes, something that represents growth, evolution...? And, finally, make "Institute" a bit bigger and more legible. Thank you. Saskia
if you could provide me with some new feedback given your *new direction* it would be greatly appreciated, I have some very nice symbols that I think given the right stylistic direction I can create exactly what you are looking for, not just a generic 'swirly' symbol.
I have tried to create abstract shapes that look pleasing from a distance and could be easily confused with some 'zen symbol' that you would see in *some* kind of temple to represent 'enlightenment'
Hi Benson! I think the balance between the text and the symbol in the new submissions (e.g. #172) is not quite right. The text is small and round while the image is raw and large. I have extended the competition because I want to have a bit more time to see other designs come through and I am so busy this weekend. I will write more to you after the weekend, but welcome your efforts to design something for us. All the best from Nova Scotia! Saskia
very cool, benson. I like the latest submissions. especially #185/#184 and #182/#183. Can you try playing with a + in the centre -- or even coming out of the centre? This is inspired by Ken Wilber's "Integral Model", which is a big inspiration for our school. The idea is of four quadrants that express the totality of the human and social sciences. It can be impressionistic/ playful, but it feels like you are on to something with these new designs. Also, can you play with a dark grey with the green that you are using. We also like turquoise and that green and gray. Again, thanks for your persistent efforts! ...And nice dog. Is that benson? S.
Thanks for the prompt feedback, I will play around with the new concepts and do a bit of reading on ken wilber's 'integral model'. Will try to incorporate new changes ASAP.
Benson - Thanks for your entries today! We are going to be reviewing by committee over the next few days and so I will be in touch about revisions. We like the flexibility of your design. I would love to see one variation of #184 -- a new zen circle that includes a break and which is slightly more 'refined' -- not quite so rough. Please don't send many different versions -- just one or two, and then I can ask for further fine tuning. Best wishes, Saskia
Alright I'll try to refine it a bit, thanks for the feedback. I always try to submit multiple combinations of things for clients to see just to satisfy their curiosity if its there.
Hi! Can you rework #304 to look more "corporate". I hate to say this, but this is the feedback I am getting. People don't like how raw it is. I wonder if you could find a happy medium? The design is a perfect expression of our original education model. I love how the spiral weaves through the "+". Thanks for your prolific efforts!!! S.
Hi! Thanks for your new, creative entries Andrew! Can you use the design of #322 (but make it smaller) and put it into the format of #328 -- image on the right and text on the left? Thanks, S.
Hi! I hope I am not too late! Can you go back to #217 and use a sea foam green/ sea glass green/ bottle green? Something toned down a bit. Same for the blue/turquoise you have used. And, can you try another version with the circle a bit tighter -- the whole symbol a little bit more compressed?
