Rest well. Everything else can wait until morning. Hopefully, by then, they will have closed this out, as per my request, and be in process of sending you funds.
Woohoo! I'm so delighted you chose to create a design for my tournament and I look forward to a long and mutually beneficial collaboration.
I'll go close this out now.
Lesley
Sure go ahead and make the adjustments you mentioned. Also on the "E" in media, it is almost a closed circle.
Do you want to do these now, or would you prefer I close out the tournament so you can get paid and then you can do them after.
Plus we can decide about black or grey after I get a copy to email to my business mentor to hear his thoughts.
Let me know if there will be any more edits needed - I want to move the two o's over just a hair to look better and the t in 3 over the other way . we can also tweak after the contest if you want a different layout and I do give you a 1 color version as part of the program. C
Oh My Goodness! I had no idea you could modify fonts! What I don't know about graphic design could fill a full set of encyclopedias!
Since you can modify fonts, could you make one other tiny font adjustment for me? On the "T's" in Too and Late, can you give the tiniest hit of it coming through to the other side. Just teeny. I think it's fine, but it's driving my book agent crazy and in turn he's driving me crazy about it. He keeps wanting me to change the font, but I like it so maybe the teensiest hit of it coming through will calm him without unbalancing the entire thing. If it does cause us to loose balance, he'll just have to deal. It's not going on the cover anyway, just the advertising where the logo is used.
Thanks for changing sub-text to black. I'll sit with it to decide if I prefer black or grey.
fixed the "i" and changed the tag line to black instead of blue/grey - you do not gain from a 5th color. As soon as you close contest and get files - review and approve - I can send other versions and work with you directly. Carol
THANK YOU!!!! - After the contest I can certainly work with you. I have been in the promotional industry for over 40 years as Business Builders and would be delighted to learn more of your project. No it is Never Too Late! I will fix the i in Media and re-submit! Carol
Thank you so much Carol! I was concerned that you might have won a couple contracts far more lucrative than this one that, quite understandably, were requiring a complete refocusing of your time.
This is really great! The orange in the center feels like a solid balance to the other two colors. The purple on the far end, juxtaposed the black of the lettering is another lovely point of balance. (Please excuse my slightly obsessive Libran quest for a feel of balance)
The new font on the subtext is so much cleaner that it will remain readable even when the logo is used in small form. I definitely prefer the combination of upper and lower case lettering.
The only remaining little niggle I have to sit with is the "I" in media. The dot is so close to the body that it could look like an "L" and that we missed (Heaven forbid!) a typo.
As I say, I'll sleep with it.
A question I've been pondering is, when someone encounters an artist through Logo Tournament, who they feel really gets what they are looking for, are they allowed to work directly, on future projects, after the initial Tournament is complete?
I ask this because this company I'm building has multiple layers, 2 books releasing. 1 by end of March/early April. The other, late June, early July. My TED Talk will launch nationally by mid-spring, and our video series will launch just prior or close to that time.
I am going to need an artist, on an ongoing basis and I have and continue to find working with you smooth, easy and enjoyable.
And Of Course, as we get rolling the $ will improve!
Hi Carol, Having only 4 days left in the Finalists period to tweak and confirm completion of the logo, and not having heard from you for a couple days, I wanted to touch base to discover if you are still interested in completing the remaining little adjustments on your logo.
I am very excited to start getting it our there with announcements of the launch of the company.
Thank you, Lesley
Thank you for the multiple permutations.
I like this purple better. A bit less black. I would like the orange moved back to center. Seems a better balance of the blue and purple.
The subtext looks better, more readable, without the word highlighting. I would still like to see the subtext in the font you used for the word MEDIA on the second design.
I feel it will be more readable in cases of the logo being used in a very small form.
another variation - could be a banner - and you can use the Miriam story to highlight how women have been uplifting each other for over 5000 years ! IF you dare to make a Biblical reference - sometimes that is dangerous.
just to show a totally different color scheme. You can use just the icon in different colors to make different points in your brochures, presentations etc.
I googled a Pantone Chart.
Orange 021 C
Orange Hexachrome C
Purple C
268 C
2597 C
298 C
2925 C
Here are a few. Tracking from an online chart I can't pull them close to see if they cooperate, so I'll leave that to you.
If you are imagining a completely different color scheme I'd be interested to see that as well.
Thank you
sure will work on this later today/tonight. do you have Pantone colors you prefer? Look for Pantone solid color chart and let me know which purples/blues and orange you prefer. Thanks Carol
Hi Carol, So this is the logo I have selected. I appreciate your offer to provide versions for versatility.
A couple things I'd like to see are:
purple up the purple women, and shoot for more of a Caribbean blue on blue women.
I'd also be interested in seeing a mock up with three completely different colors of your choice.
Despite having specifically requested it, please remove the word Highlighting on subtext.
I would like to see the subtext in the same font as what you used for the word MEDIA on the other version, but much smaller. The clean lines and spacing of letters might make it much more readable.
I very happy to have connected with a logo designed by someone with whom I feel I a personal synergy. As this company launches and the project expands I look forward to furthering our collaboration.
I like the feather, but I think it's just the idea of it. There is no real connectivity to the company. That said, I was surprised at the limited number of designers from whom I received proposals and among that few only you and two others created anything that captured my fascination. I'll see how the survey goes, then as is my way, I'll make my own choice.
Fabulous! Thank you so very much for working with me to get this far. I'm preparing to send my top 4 designs out to my most marketing savvy colleagues for survey of preference. I'll be in touch.
I was thinking more along the lines of take the rounded font from the faces logo, stacking
Never
Too Late
Media
Beside the women. Then underneath, the subtext: Highlighting Women Uplifting Women. That could be in the same font MEDIA is here, but smaller.
No. Sorry for the convoluted description. I'll try again. I was asking if the lettering from this imaged could be transferred to the Miriam logo, as a replacement for the font and design of that lettering.
I will work on that for you.
not exactly sure what you mean but I think you are saying your want the figures inside the lettering some how? will try some options and different fonts.
I'm at the narrowing it down phase. While I liked this one, it never came together. I am holding the one of Miriam and the women in my considerations file. There is something about it that keeps drawing me back. The aspect I'm not as taken with is the lettering. Is there a way to weave the font and lettering of this one into "Miriam"?
Although divergent from what I thought I wanted, there is something about this one that keeps popping up for me so moving it to ranked logos for consideration
