32 - Nice approach, we think the general concept is good but have the following suggestions A. The shape takes up a bit too much negative space and looks a bit like a starfish (we can see it's a stretched cube but just does not come off quite right)
B. After addressing A can you show us a white background version?
35 - Like the idea of an exploding cube and can see the N pattern, again some suggestions
A. Can we see this on plain white, we like the light source effect but this won't be used B. Can we make the N shape a little more obvious and perhaps a bit more spacing between the blocks C. Can we use a warm color in this somewhere instead of the e.g. silver/blue warm/blue
33. Interesting Escher approach, can we also see a version with warm/blue vs. silver blue and can you make the icon more translucent?
31. Maybe with just a sphere or a sphere within a cube vs. extruding from it, also maybe warm/blue option vs. black/blue
Like the execution on 109 (nice 3d) but the N almost looks like a W or a M sometimes, I think the tails are nice (they imply motion) but maybe they are too thick ? (anyway I think the N needs to look a bit cleaner)
Very nice! We wonder if you could enlarge the sphere slightly, seems just a tad too small
Another idea I have been floating but no one has taken us up on yet is to use a more interesting sphere, maybe something with a Nebula enclosed in it --- could not find anything simple enough for an example but here are a few links for ideas
Last couple are just backgrounds that might or might not work for interiors
Yeah really good (moved to #1) like what you did with the N as well.
Wonder if the nebula in the sphere (whole effect) is not just a bit too dark though, not sure if you can lighten it up more towards a lighter blue a bit but might be an improvement (might not)
Overall we have the N and a Nebula so for branding it works pretty well. Will see what the other members of company think
That's better I think ... any chance of lighting the upper part a bit more
Also would like to see an outline around the font or some other way of making it more 3d'ish like entry 159 is done, I do like yours as well though, just like to see if you could add anything along those lines
FYI - There are at least 2 commenter's that participate on this as well as an 3 observer that gives input, I think this is enough of a derivative not to be an issue for me personally, but the other commenter may not, we will see shortly.
A. I think a bit more space between the globe and N would look better, not as much as the original version but a bit more.
B. We think you should apply this to the cubed version as well, the cube I think should be more forward facing instead of standing on a point, and the edges should be more rounded all around instead of so sharp, also a bit lighter in the shade of blue.
Globe looks much better without the purple by the way
Understand, and I agree, not sure if my partner will have not heard back yet
225 - One thing to change it up a bit if you want to, don't know if it would work but might want to try to split the symbol into two parts, either horizontally (top bottom) or in the middle of the sphere (left right)
If you want to try your hand at something completely different look at the last comment on the main contest page which refers to a very crude diagram that we uploaded that is different enough that it might get some attention as well - our in house general design person understood the concept, my partner did not but if you want take a look and see of you can do a take on it, or not, we are getting pretty close to the end
Ok, unless someone comes up with something extremely unique and "Wowing" we are split between yours and the current number one. See "Very Crude Design Change" attachment on the brief page
To move this more in your favor here are the comments and suggestions. I am going to post a sample file on the main brief section so that this makes a bit more sense, keep in mind that these are crude hacks of your current design and should be taken as absolutes, just concepts of what we would like you to apply in much better way ;-)
A. Thin the hips of the N (left hand image) we think this is generally the right idea but you can probably do it a bit better and this applies to the 3 ideas we have to make this design a bit more unique.
3 ideas to modify the infinity N further (above still applies)
1. The first image in the file (on the left) has a very crude grey cut out the center of the Infinity N - What we would like to see is for you to change the single infinity N into two (left right) shapes, so that the negative space between the two sections looks like the N shape of the larger infinity N (which the cutout crudely suggests, the cut out should match the general shape of the larger N
2. Put a 3d cube in the middle of the infinity N (please see this link for the rounded edge effect we prefer on blocks) with some space cut out around it, we don't like the completely face on look that this cube has of course, it's just a place holder for you to do something better, feel free to try whatever style / aspect / color you want etc. but we would like it to have an inner glow and rounded edges
3. Split the Infinity N into an upper and lower section so that there are two, again same color, different color really don't care, be as creative as you like.
Other Thoughts
You might try a more "translucent" effect on the infinity N as well, this has played well with some observers You can feel free to combine and of these ideas if that makes sense as well
NOTE! whatever design mod's you come up with please also show on a black background
I was just noticing that you took the 3d aspect off of the arc's on #300. it looks good as it is but was just wondering if you had tried it with some thickness to them
