Love your logos! Exactly the color scheme and feel I am going for. I like that you were able to include the word "organizing" in the logo without it being front and center. I can't decide if I like the "k" askew at the end in entry #5 or straight like in entry #7, but that's my problem, not yours! I also really like #2...I like that the black outline is an open box, but it also implies the shape of a house. Very exciting to see these...thanks!
Just had another thought on your entries #7 & #8...could we thin out the fontfor the letters in the boxes a bit? Also, wonder how a lowercase "n" would look for the first letter. Could you also play with the colors a bit...try the blue for the "Neatnik" letter and the green for "organizing or switch around with the purple?
Also still really like #2...any way to add the word "organizing" without making the design too busy? And, perhaps change the color of the dot over the i to green or some other bright color?
Hi, i have uploaded some logos (maybe a lot), let say that is a test for you to check colors and your preferences. I hope my designs are better than my english. :)
Your designs and your English are both wonderful! I've shown some friends & colleagues and I think I'm shifting my interest more toward the other design...#2, #55, #56, #57...the one that looks like a box and a house. I like the word "organizing" below in cursive, but perhaps it could be just a bit smaller. #57 is my favorite. I just want to continue to play with the colors a bit, if that's ok. Can you send me a few more with different color combinations (still staying with the purple, blue & green that you already have?).
OK, I've given all of them some additional thought. I like the light blue and the spring green in #90. I like the dark purple in that one too, although perhaps we could lighten it just a bit (like in entry #2). Not sure about the yellow dot...could we brighten that a bit or go back to the orange color you had in your original entry, #2?
I like the thiner lines and spacing better (like in #90, 57, 86 etc.) rather than the thicker (#84,85,89).
I like the smaller, cursive "organizing" underneath in #90 instead of the larger one in #57.
The only other color combination I'd be curious to see would be "neat" in green, "nik" in purple and the box and "organizing" in blue.
Would be interested to hear your thoughts on this design and which are your favorites.
Hi Laura, I think you are right, when i made those bolder designs was because is easy to see but are a little masculine, and in reference to colors i agree with you, #90 looks very fine, also the new #93 or #94, also like #95 althought the blue color gives a touch of seriousness.
Yes, we are getting very close and I'm getting very attached to that logo! Lots of other people who I have shown also like it the best. I still have time to work with you on the colors, right? And, I'm wondering if we should straighten out the dot over the "i" because it's not neat. But, I sort of like the imperfection of having it where it is. I will focus on the colors and give you more feedback in a few minutes. Thanks!
Laura, i have uploaded the first ranked with variations in the "i" with the dot straight, as you see has to be smaller than before as in #113 , but, we have the option to reduce the "k" to maintain size as in #115 .
Thanks for the variations. A few things to keep and change: 1. That is the right purple...definitely keep that color. 2. I also think that is the right green, so keep that one too. 3. I think I like the blue, but could I see it with just a shade darker, but not too dark so that it is too close to the purple color. 4. I think I like the taller "k" because it sort of pokes up the diagonal line (it looks like the 'k' is sticking out of the box or the roof of the house). 5. I like the brighter orange/red color for the dot like in #96 and #93. The yellow just doesn't seem to pop as much. Can you make the yellow any brighter? Or do you have any other ideas for the color of the dot? I wonder what it would look like matched to the blue or the green? 6. Lastly, could I see what it would look like with the "neat" in blue and the "nik" in green?
I still haven't seen anything I like as much as your design, so thanks for being so patient with all of my detailed ideas!
Hi Laura, I have uploaded some logos, #116 #120 has a litle darker blue, as for the dots, the yellow dot could be difficult, but we can use some tricks (like a border line in #117, or making it shiny with other color in #119 , but i don't know if feels ok, looks different than the rest of objects), and, i have tested the red dot #118, a different orange in #122 and of course still can test another ones if you like.
OK, I've decided I like the larger dot leaning next to the "i" like you had it in your original design, like in #90 or #57, but not in yellow. I think I like the red (again...your original design, I think!). I would just like to see it in a matching color...perhaps the blue or the green of the word "neat?" What do you think of that?
Thank you for your patience with me! I had one more request...
I definitely still like your concept the best, but I'm drawn to some of the other logos that have background colors other than white. I like the simplicity of the white background, but the logo stands out more when it has a color or colors for it's background. Could you try some with colored backgrounds? Thanks again so much for your work & I hope I am not driving you crazy!
Oh!, this a tricky one, well you can check now, of course darker color looks fine as background, light grays also, as we are using bright colors, using strong colors as background could be problematic, but if you check #138 #139 #140 i have changed the green is a litle easier to combine with different colors. the others from #127 to #137 are the same green, blue and purple, changing a little the orange, to red or magenta.
As you can see, is always about contrast, if you preffer brighter colors as background we need to use darker colors in the logo, or using greys.
I agree...all of the bright color is too much. My only last thought is what if we used the green from "nik" as our background color and then did the whole word "neatnik" in blue? If that doesn't look good, we will stick with the white background. Thanks!
Sorry...one more...could I see it with blue "neat", green "nik" and a blue dot to match the word "neat?" I think I like the red, but am wondering if adding a 4th color is too much. Thanks again.
Ah Laura, one more thing, using different colors in your logo gives the oportunity to use just one color for logo and one from the original logo to the background as in #152 .
One more thought...what if we put the background color or colors just inside the house (then the word "neatnik" would be best in black or white, I think). As you can tell, I love the house/box design and I'm just trying to find some way to make it a little bolder.
HI Laura, #151 has a more saturated green (brighter), and for the dot i prefer the red one, works fine like an accent. As for bold, i've uploaded #170 and #171, in few minutes i will upload some with a background inside the box.
About the dot, when i made that dot in that position, my intention was to be playfull but also generate the impression of objects inside the box/house, thats why is leaning over the letters as if gravity exists, I think that this dot and the box/house make the design memorable, colors help but the idea is what is important,
One question, when you think about a background color, what color is it? any preference?
Thanks for the information! I like the red dot too & I think we will keep that.
For the background color, could we do three blocks of color, sort of like boxes in the house? Otherwise, try all three of the colors separately and let's see how that looks. And, again, I think if we do color background, the letters will need to be black or white, right?
I like the two-tone background color inside the box! I think I prefer the darker purple, though, like in #176, #177. Could you not do the three colors in the box? Is that too much like the other designer? I do want to respect everyone's design ideas but still come up with the best logo and I really love your box/house idea. Also, could we try the roofline/boxtop coming from the other side (the blue side) so it could be longer?
Hi Laura, i uploaded some logos and your request, i hope you like some of them, ah! of course you have to look for a logo that matches your needs and preferences.
Sometimes get an idea is complicated, but when i am complicated i follow some rules to design. 1. if i take off colors what happend?(just black and white) 2.if i take off the name, the logo still works? 3. if i take first impression what i was looking for to help to first idea.
if you get a logo from here or from other designers, could help
As you probably see, I chose a different designer's logo to win the tournament, but as you also hopefully know, I really loved your design too. The reason I had to extend my tournament was because I couldn't decide between the two! I'm very sorry I didn't get to use your logo and I really want to thank you for all of your hard work on it.
