#3 - I like quite a few elements of this design. I like the compass and that you took time to include some graphics of what we do. You can get a better idea of our camp here: http://www.actionwhitewater.com this is my rafting company page and within you'll see plenty on the camps and what we do.
I like that you worked to build in our slogan. I like the colors in the compass. I like the hyphen in the name. I like the two tone nature of the font, my initial idea was a brown/beige with a forest green outline, here you went white with black, the concept is the same and I think it helps the name jump out. I'm not sure if it MUST be this way but it was my initial thought too.
**I had a thought after looking it over again and again. Could you mock something up with the words Nature's-Classroom curving around the upper half of the compass and put the slogan in the smaller font at the bottom. Perhaps in the East and West areas of the compass you could put a graphic of a absailer/rappeler and then a river otter or beaver or California Black bear in the other. This would cover 4 major elements of our camp in graphics.**
I DON'T like the font itself here, I think it get's lost in the compass. This logo will be on shirts, hats, letterhead, business cards etc. I don't think Script is the font style to use. I like the font of #2 quite well or at least the effect. It's bold and very clear what the name of the company is. Overall I rank this one as my current favorite of the 3 currently submitted.

I like where this one is headed. I need "Nature's-Classroom" to jump off the compass more. Maybe larger font. I don't know what language to use as I'm not an artist. I like the 3-D element to the font but it the title needs to be the highest elevation visually. Can you shade with a hunter/forest green with the beige lettering? Maybe size, and color will help it pop.
Imagine someone glancing at the logo and looking away, they need to look away with "Nature's-Classroom" in their mind.
Oh, and add the "hyphen" to the title "Nature'sHYPHENClassroom = Nature's-Classroom"
#10 - I think the font needs to stay at or above the East West points. So, larger than #6 but smaller than here. I like #6 real well I just feel the font needs to be up front rather than the compass.
#7 - Font much easier to see than the script. What about moving the title to below the compass wherein the Southern point and shadowing are on/near the hyphen? Don't know what scale would look right with the compass like that but the compass and the title are still fighting each other here.
#16 - yea, I think this look might be nice as well. We love the graphic because it sells the whole program, all our elements but we still need folks to know the company name. So,l this works. I really like the font on the currently second ranked logo, #18. It's a similar concept as this. The clean sharp font really stands out. What are your opinions of making the compass just a bit larger? Does it work with the text or over run it?
Are we allowed to contact you outside this contest and perhaps purchase more of your designs rather than just the winner?
