Thank you very much for your designs. I like them all and have listed some comments below:
#7 I placed this 1st, I like the beans with the aroma pattern and the combo comic and block font #10 I like the fact that the coffee word is a different color than Natalie's and I like the addition of color. The color might be too much hawaii look (I immediately think of kona when I look at it which definately does the job, but I don't want to single out 1 variety when we roast 80+ #9 is nice but I like the #7 version better #6 I like the script and would like to see the others with a script version, but I think this script is a bit hard to read. Is there another script that is easier to read when you're driving by the store fast :o)
I'd love to see some sort of merge of the best features of #7,#10 & #6 (Beans, splash of color, Script)
#14 The colors really pop on the emblem. I think the inner circle makes it look like a donut - I wouldn't want people to think of that DD company ;o) - I think I'm leaning toward the pictorals in general like 7,12&13 as opposed to the emblems but it's still a toss up. One of my old logos used to be an emblem style which looked great on the coffee bags but may not do so well on a storefront sign (I'm not sure yet)
Nice jump - of #47 & #48, both are great individually but I like the shape of #48 better. Is it possible to make the font a little thinner - Same font look but not as wide on each stroke ? - if that makes sense Also can the Green font color be any darker or different hue so it does not look glowy (new word), or does the red play with the visibility of the green.
Thanks for the great input. I will work on the font and other changes you wish to see. I may have to withdraw my #45 as I have been challenged in logo court by another designer. If the design community votes against me, I would be eliminated from this contest. I feel that these elements have been mine from early on, but you never know. Since you like the new shape better, would you mind if I withdrew #45? and I will work on the glowy-ness. It is all about contrast, so I can't get too dark.
I love the dark wood aspect - that will play well with our store design can we get the detail back on the leaves and maybe play with the font on this design as I mentioned in my previous comment about #49
Now that we have the dark wood aspect. Can we possible play with a font like the stencils they would use on the coffee burlap bags. Not for Natalie's but maybe for the word coffee - -- this may take us into a rustic direction which I'm liking
Thanks -- We're definitely moving along with this. I definitely like the green of #54, but I like the white highlights of #55 I like the mix between the elegance of the Natalie's font and the down to earth bring me home of the shipping stencil.
I can see this being awesome on my new storefront sign and on my travel mugs etc., do you think this design will be good for all types of media? Emroidered shirts B/W print ads etc. -- If I could see some examples of of #55 in those mediums or tweak it so it works as well with all mediums, that would be great.
I think it translates very well into black and white and you can see that it should be no problem for silkscreen or embroidery for that matter. I will submit another B/W without the texture in case that would be a problem for embroidery, although it shouldn't be. Thanks.
The font and font coloring are nice. Can you try and tone down the background. Put a little more contrast between the text and the background? The text kind of gets a little lost with the similar colors - - Thanks
I like the grinder element. Can I see a version with a more "African" type look. This is nice, It looks kind of "Aztek / Mexican", (which is cool) but I'd like to see it with an African type font (Not tribal or way out there, but a feel). -- I like the Stencil font for coffee
