Thanks for all the logo's. They are really great. It is difficult to determine which is my favourite as they all are fun and have a lot of energy.
We was wondering if you are open to taking a chance and willing to test an icon approach that is very different (I haven't mentioned it to any other the other designers as yet). While we do want a very clean logo that can work on different backgrounds and situations, our end goal is to produce an logo that works as an app icon too or complements it.
We have been going through www.dribbble.com and have spotted a number of cool app icon ideas but I am not sure if you have the time to test something like this for us, while keeping the text for YoBar clean:
We are truly loving your work! Everyone in our office is pointing to different options and it is impossible to rank accurately but you designs are up there.
Everyone seems to be going down a similar path with the cocktail glass and I was wondering if you can focus on any element to capture people laughing i.e. a vibe, chatting, laughing etc. We need to logo or part of the logo to also work as an iPhone app icon so the more ideas the better. This is what we came up with on one of our other products: http://www.flickr.com/photos/81712009@N04/7485594758/
Thank you for all of your time and all of your fantastic designs. We greatly appreciate it.
We were about to enter the second phase of the contest but I have been advised from a design colleague of mine to ask the current contestants to explore a few other ideas and extend the contest for another 24 hours due to the weekend. It seems that virtually everyone has followed our original designs idea of the Cocktail Glass. However this has not given us a good the spread of creative ideas that were hoping for from the brief.
If you are open to it, we would greatly appreciate an option other than the cocktail glass. Ideally, we would like Black and White (not grey scale) design as we need this will give us the flexibility that we require when tweaking the design.
