#2 Thanks, but I feel this is too simple and the icon too generic from any windows application.

Maybe you can provide more detail about the type data or the imagery that would better connect with your concept and objectives?

I was trying to use color and overlap to describe how data can be used but obviously that did not come across.
Since I am not sure what you mean by "any windows application" I will think of other ways to convey the message.

#2 Thank you. I just meant that the icon could seems like it could come from ms office, ms visual studio, etc. Guages, charts, spreadsheets are typical of dashboards, though I not sure how one might integrate them...

#4 Puzzle pieces? I think that's a stretch....

data compilation was always like putting a puzzle together - and I majored in statistics in college!
maybe you can better explain your visualization of the dashboard? will try something else.

#29 & #30 Including the apple is a good touch. Wondering how it will look on a darker background instead of white, like the blue gradient on mediamatters.org The design still does not blow my socks off but is definitely a step in the right direction.
