Discussion

The design is clean, with hints of Internet technology. But it seems to me that it will be hard to print on media other than digital, say on t-shirts.

Hi thanks for the feedback I see your concern about being able to print however with todays technology you can print amazingly intricately tshirts etc. However we as designers are permitted to supply you variations of the same design so here is a flat colour version of the logo and a black and white version of the logo

#1 and #4. Brendan, I agree with you that amazing stuff can be printed on pretty much anything and everything these days, though the cost will be higher the more colors and hues are used in the image. My concern is more about cost, rather than technological abilities.

In regards to #4, there is still some yellow stuff -- like a swoosh? -- above the name of the company.

#5 Doesn't look bad, however it departs from the green color that we believe we should use to represent our company. I'll have to ask my partners if they would go with black, but I'm pretty sure they would balk.

Well, in addition to the above, I have a question. What rights do we have to the logo after we choose a winner?

Hi

Ok with you on the cost issue. although digital iron-on on shirts are not too expensive.
Regarding the black logo all I was saying was that you could get that in addition to the full colour one you choose most designers here on Lt will supply it with pleasure. So what I am saying is you could have a logo for full colour print, one for embroidery or silkscreen and a black and white one for the occasion where that is all that a particular print medium allows. Used to be people wanted a black and white version for faxing but that is something of the past

Regarding Ownership once you choose the winner you get full ownership rights to the logo.
check out the faq page a lot of your questions will be answered there

Without the swish of lighter green as requested.

Another option using the view finder through a camera, on a fictitious skyline

#8. I think I'll skip on this one since it suggests, at least in my mind, a broadcaster, such as a radio station.

#7 may lead to something good eventually. I don't quite dig the view finder in the context of Municipal Media Solutions though.

Hi thanks for the feedback, #7 i was looking for two elements that convey a) municipality and b)media, hence the use of a skyline and a camera is a strong icon of media but a camera on its own leans too much towards photography, hence the more subtle approach to media by looking through the viewfinder.

WHAT DO WE SEE IN THE MUNICIPALITY.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any suggestions as to how I can improve on this concept.

Thanks Brendan

#7. Many like this design, but not the view finder. I understand what you're saying about the view finder, but something that suggests more of an Internet/digital experience would probably be better. Just a suggestion, maybe a navigation button, the way you have it in a browser?
