Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.
With regards to the icon - I thought I'd go for a "wise" and "trusting" owl, something different and unique!
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
Hi Angus, Thank you so much for your entries. We like all of them, very sharp! One concern which I'm afraid that we might not have communicated before. Is that our service is fast / swift (it's easy to implement our new solution compared to old competitors). I hear what you are saying, owl is definitely more traditional but also wise and trusting (which is good for payments)... But I know what you mean, if the service is more focused on speed and swiftness, then maybe we need to find another animal that depicts that!

Hi Angus, Thank you for your new entries. We really like your Bee idea #74, it's fast and can also defend from aggressors ;-) It would be really cool to see a couple of more bees to compare, like you did for owls, it would also be great if you would like to test colors and fonts. Thank you!

In the meantime, I have created a variety of versions for #36! Each option uses a different styled font, and colours (the colour of the font is also the same as the eyes in the owl).
Hi Angus, Thank you for your new entries. We like your logos and think that you are very talented!! We have discussed all logos extensively and our main concerns are as follows. We feel that it would be great to find a symbol in the logo that fits 100% for our service, but our fear right now with an animal as a symbol is that we don't want to be looked at as cute. So what we are looking for is either:
- try to make an animal less cute or more tough - keep a "cute symbol" subtle (like instead of the dot above the i) - find a symbol that is less cute - for instance something mechanical or a plant - use text only or with a simple shape of some kind
Also if the animal is in the shape of an M or has something to do with payments or money, it might forgive the cuteness a bit.
We understand that it must be hard to understand how we think in such a short period of time (especially as we understand more and more what we are looking for as the contest progresses). So, please feel free to ask any questions. Thank you!
Thanks for the additional direction, here are a couple of new ideas; #187, #188, #189 and #190 I have to run now, but first thing tomorrow I shall have another think about a few more ideas.
Hi, Thank you for your new entries. If you have some more ideas we are of courde curious to see them. Could you also try out a couple of things? If it can be done, for #188 make the text bigger (and maybe broader) and place the bee above the i so the "tail" (what is it called in english?) makes the dot of the i. If you would like to tilt the bee and point the "tail" downwards like in #74, that will be cool to see too. If it can be done, you can test to do the same with the owl and add the byline: smart online payments. Thank you!
Basically it can be seen a either a more aggressive owl's head or actually a bee's head. But with either there is a subtle "M" representing Mondido, in the face - its in the negative white space below the eyes.
Hi, This message goes out to everyone in the top 5. Although we have received a lot of logos that we absolutely love and would be great as logos for any successful company, we have not found one that fits us 100%. Therefore we are now asking if you have any idea that you are sitting on that you haven't yet submitted or if you could have a think out of the box to help us find a logo that fits. We were looking for a symbol but in the end if it looks professional it doesn't matter if it's "just" a font, as long as it fits our service and it looks professional (which is not really a problem here). If you have any questions we will try to respond asap, the same goes if you submit a new idea.
We want to be the best in our sector, which means: easy to implement (on a website when someone wants to start selling something online), low costs, smart admin interface (to be able to see how your business is going.
We would like something minimalist, serious (but not boring) and which shows that we change with the times and are forward thinking (and not traditional).
Hi, Cool to see something totally different from you. We especially like what you did for #227, but feel that it is a bit too techy for us. In #229 - 231 we feel it's a bit too sharp in the edges. We'll think about some more constructive feedback for you. We still like the bee, I especially like #208 which looks like it's twirling up in the air in motion.
