While strong and bold it is believed that it to closely resembles Mercury Insurance Company here in the US.

Hi,
Sorry but I am in Spain and I had never heard about the company you mention.
I have searched the web to see their logo and yes it´s kind of similar in a way.
As I say this was mere coincidence as I had never seen their logo before.
I have done a different version in order to maintain the strength of the M but I wasn´t able to upload it as the contest has been closed.
