The final little requests I'd have is to make the whisk 'i' a bit bigger so its more visually pronounced...even if you have to bump the x over a touch and maybe take out the est 2017.
Once we see those tweaks - we can select this design and just talk about files?
I'm curious if we pulled the scrolls and made Mingle letters (font from 98) would there be room then for modified human forms ie. face/partial/silhouette? If the full bodies were gone, perhaps it would clear up the club feel we're getting?
I do not think you are being difficult at all. All my work is 100% original. I create the silhouettes myself so anything is possible. Only limited by imagination... I will keep trying to get the look you are going for. Bare with me and I think we can get to where you want to be with this.
I tried the idea you had with the guy making up the L but I kind of felt like he looked like he was checking out the girls so I came up with this idea to add extra people in the lightest color so they do not distract from the "Mingle". I really like this one and I am curious to see what you think.
Thanks,
Leah
Please do not think we are being difficult - or not respecting your time - we're just building brand and need to be careful with message. We do like the addition of the third person - this bakery is located in a small Northern Michigan town in a 100+ year old building. Very 'upnorth' and rustic. The guy in the suit & sexy women I think is where I'm getting the 'hook-up' vibe from. (our business people don't even wear suits up here) ... without doing a ton of modifications - do you have access to other 'types' of people/silhouettes?
Thank you! I will work on variations soon. I am out with my husband right now but as soon as I get back to my computer I will upload some different variations.
I feel like we're going to go with this design. The only reflection we have (and would like to work on) is that the woman-man combo in the M has a 'dating' feel. The mingle portion of the business describes the space as a meeting ground for community groups...I don't know if 2 women would be better in the M and a guy in the L?...or if there's a way to get a third person in there somehow? Everything else is on track - we just really need to work on the message of the people.
Thanks so much for this new design - I think it looks much clearer w/out the lines & shadows for window placement :) Is it possible to see this with the brown & tan(lighter cream color) reversed?
Thank you for the feedback. I have submitted a couple new designs for your consideration. If you would like to see any changes please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks,
Leah
I like your use of colors, the big design elements above and below feel heavy to me...could a cooking element be worked into the lettering instead? And also, as described in the contest, the 'Mix' portion of the logo is about the bakery half of this business and the 'Mingle' is the other half which is about the space being used by people as a meeting space. The winning design will incorporate elements that highlight baking & people.
