just moving comments to your page and off of the main contest page:
regarding #9 and #10, they're just a bit too stylized and whimsical/youthful seeming. maybe our playful/serious slider should have been set slightly more to the serious side?
#13 is more interesting than #12 and we think the refinement over #6 is nice, but we're excited to see what else you've got!
#19 is still in the lead. the new one (#26) is cool, but there's something about the gradient that just doesn't work for us. tough to say what it is right now, but maybe we'll be able to figure out exactly why so you can get some better feedback...
thanks for #28 - i think it helped us figure out what we didn't like about #26...! it's the way it fades out to white at the top of the "minjii". something about that in particular is what's not working. maybe if it didn't go (or start) all the way to total white?
regarding #77, i think we actually preferred the chunkier version (#35).
these two most recent ones though, #103 and #104 are REALLY interesting! still waiting for feedback from other guys on the team, but seeing new directions is refreshing and these two concepts happen to be really cool. will get you feedback as soon as i can. thanks!
we still really like your designs a lot. a couple of things that we've figured out:
• we will ultimately want a logo that doesn't have any gradient in it, which is why #19 is ranked first • #103 is really cool, but i think it's ultimately a little too stylized for this project. really really nice otherwise. but we need a simpler, more subtle logo for this project, hence again the preference for #19.
a couple of things we'd like to see:
• the logo in some different colors - different shades of blue, maybe some greens as well. and whatever else you think is nice. • we would also like a distinctive "m" - something that could stand alone as a favicon or 1x1 avatar. it doesn't have to be crazy ornate or decorative, but it should just be distinctive enough so that it could be associated with the brand. think: the twitter "t"...
I have just uploaded #158, using a different blue, and i have also straightened the top of the letter 'M'. #159 added some light green to design too :)
