I love the creativity. Could you keep the red but make the playful one less playful? I don't know exactly how you could do this. Please start by removing the thinking bubbles. The second logo looks great too. I don't know what I would want changed, so you can leave that one for now.

Hi,

Well the brother and I are back and forth with the smiley face. We both understand the intention and love the idea and its originality. My argument is that the logo is too happy. I'm not sure if a construction company should be so happy, unless of course we're making happy things. This is why it remains a top design but not quite in the high 4 logo options. Also, entry #40 is currently our favorite but may need something. I hate to ask of something and not like it but I will anyway. Could you possibly add small, fine teeth to the circle and make it look like a saw blade. I hesitate to ask because of how much time it may take and I believe my brother wants to stay away from the addition of any tools to the logo. It may need something extra.
