Also, maybe the star is too big.

This is very interesting concept. Maybe lose MEARL and just have the full words? Also, check out flags of Africa and Midlde East and we'll need to see if this is too close to any one specific flag.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. Please lose the three yellow lines and consider adding some feature to the design. We're on the right track but it's lacking something to make it stand out.

Hi Iohan91, thanks for the logo. I like the basic concept as it has some consistency with the two parent logos. If you look at an image of all African and Middle East flags together there's a definite trend, of yellow, green and red and the star is prevalent. So, can you try to work those colours into the design somehow. I don't like the five little lines and five stars, but I like the basic shape and concept, so please give the above some consideration and work on it.
