Hi Larry and Josh, here are some additional designs for your consideration. You asked for options relating to the side view -- do you still want the M shape in the ring? Here are some designs with a more ornate ring design -- one showing the M shape, one without it. I also played around with a princess cut shape, but it's fairly generic. I think what's great about the one you currently have ranked first -- if I do say so myself -- is that it communicates diamonds and incorporates the M in Meyer, which helps make it more memorable. Being memorable is key to a good logo. That said, simplicity is also key, so I hesitate to go too much more ornate than I have here. I'm hoping you can provide some more specific feedback, like whether or not you like the M shape and if you want to see something that looks more like a literal ring as opposed to the somewhat abstract designs I've been working with.
Also, to answer your question, I live in Indianapolis, Indiana, and I do contract work on the side. I have a full time job as a web designer. I'd be happy to talk about what other work you may need to have done once the contest is over. The designer code of conduct prohibits me from talking about it until then. But you're welcome to take a look at my portfolio at

Finally, I want to say how much I love diamonds. I know, who doesn't right? But I didn't know until I got one how much I would love them. I'm blessed with a gorgeous 1 carat round cut solitaire, at E color and VVS1. It's a beaut! It also happens to be slightly fluorescent, so it does amazing things in direct sunlight. My husband is a gemstone junky, which makes me a lucky girl!
