any ideas how to take #8 and get an Agricultural feel to it?

on entry #12 i made the separator line as an abstract plant

on #12 could you make the plant short - like a seedling and maybe have a brown root system that is intertwined with the text below

BTW using the existing logo from each company is a must or we can improvise using other design (make an entirely new logo) ?

i am getting feedback that the powers that be would prefer other options then just the two emblems side by side... any ideas of how to meld them together?

Could you try top of the letters green, the bottom of the letters black, and the horizon gold. Alternatively, make the top green, the horizon black, and the bottom gold. Another variation on that theme might be the top gold, the bottom black, and the horizon green.

Choice whichever green we are not married to any specific shade

my concern in creating logo is creating a graphical representative of the brand, so it can still represent the brand even when it comes without the text/brand name.
just like a face, people can recognize other people from their face, even when it come separately without their other body parts.
