My logo design portrays a creative and progressive company willing to explore new markets, new products and new concepts.
The playful yet technical pixel design represents images exploding out from the center.
Infinite possibilities can be drawn from this design. It can be animated so this is like a freeze-frame out of the animation. Images can be placed in the pixels. It could be rotating - for a flash website the different pixels could be used as rollover elements to go to different areas of the site and different categories or parts of the company.
Colour can be changed to give it a more playful emphasis or toned back for more corporate publications.
The options are endless and this design is totally practical in terms of printing and reproduction.
Any feedback and discussion most welcome. Charcoal
You by far you have been the first person who has given a good explanation with your submission, and i appreciate that. i like the way you think. In your last entry #319 can you do that in a little more vibrant colors and no shadows.
Thanks for the note. I'm glad I am on the right track. I will update that entry. It is looking a bit gray - I think I was holding back with the color a little, but it definitely needs more to really jump out.
Firstly, I just noticed your comment on the main discussion area. I am humbled to hear that. Thank you.
Here is an example of the logo in solid black. It seems some designers think certain full color logos won't work in solid color. Just so you can see this one will I thought I'd submit this version. I find it retains the sense of energetic "movement" very well.
This new design incorporates my existing "pixel" design with a new type treatment. I feel the type should sit in a way that supports the icon and should not 'compete' with it. Therefore I've gone for something clean and modern. The icon is the hero and communicates the creativity, the type is the solid and stable base which represents the business entity - although it still has a look of modern, cutting-edge leadership about it.
If too much color is brought into the type the whole design loses a focal point and balance, which is so important in this design.
A new concept - the pixels in this design are being brought forward in a 3-dimensional form. This design is both playful yet the grid format of the pixels gives another dimension - order and process. The whole icon could be used in many ways where the design could "grow" from one pixel to end up as the logo you see here. Many creative applications could be pulled from the design for tv animation, titles, online graphics etc.
