The trick is to keep it simple so it can reproduce well. When Logos are to complicated they look more like an illustration or a painting than a logo, and will be a nightmare to use.
I've incorporated and tried to simplify all the main elements (a better ATV, Simpler pick axe, and Mountains to signify nature) so that the image is more of a Logo than an illustration. To do so I've also shown that it can be easily converted to 1Color #40 for simple applications when you need inexpensive executions, like 1Color T-Shirts, embrodiery/stiching, stickers, engraving on Plaques, etc.

Please correct our slogan to "Rich in History"; not Rich in Heritage. My mistake. Also would you submit this without the ATV for us. We may be removing it from all the entries.
no problem. three variations without the ATV and with tag line. My opinion is to only use the tag line on specific occasions and community events and not have it as a permanent part of the logo, it will become very hard to read when the logo is used smaller. I would suggest you keep your tag line a darker color, as large as possible and C/LC on your logo if you feel it is necessary. C/LC if more legibly when reduced than all Caps.
