Here is one of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.
The idea is based on the thinking that hypnotherapy goes to the roots of your mind!
The logo is 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,

You're right about hypnotherapy - it really deals with the sub conscious mind, and the power of it. I also will be working with kinesiology, and iridology - so something that deals with the mind is great, I'm not sure about the colors. I'm leaning toward the ones that are more vibrant. It's tough because so many logos are great. I like your thought behind it - maybe instead of being so facial and roots looking, something more that conveys that image - like impressionistic.
I see you're from the UK - love it there, my husband is british - met at a pub in Edinburgh.
