Some specifics: I think the circle of dots thing that's popular is really over used ... and totally unrelated to a boating book company.
A unified name and tag, coupled with an intuitive relevant graphic, is what is needed here.
And think standing out on signage at a trade show booth; readable (or at least intriguing) at ten feet, embroidered on a polo shirt; or instantly eye-catching and recognizable on a magnetic vehicle door sign or vinyl lettering on our boat ...
hey, you're........extraordinary, really.... with such client (as you are) I will try my best over and over again till you're satisfied. The way you speak has something magnetic:D...Well, I hope you will add a few more day cause I am going to come up with something interesting....

As to #403 and #404, I see what you're doing but I think of these logos as "decorative" not "informative."
Our story needs to somehow be reflected in our logo (by type style, graphic, color):
- small, upcoming self-publisher in the boating industry - provides cruising guides (books that tell you how and where to go in your boat) - new player (younger, exciting, current information, uses high-tech and innovative methods for data gathering and presentation)
Let's blow this up and try some new ideas altogether!
