Hi Medi
Thanks again for your new entry. I think it’s cartoon-ish and pretty. However, I think it is a little too cartoon-ish for our taste (But my son loved it J). But thanks to you, I think I am having more understanding of what I want, which is great. I will try to describe in detail and I hope I can describe it in a way where you can understand me.
1) I think the font caused the cartoon-ish look due to its shadow and fatty look. I have NO PROBLEM with the little wave on the name as it adds a little more dynamic to the logo. I think the key is that I don’t like that font very much. Perhaps we can try a font that is in between the 2 styles?
2) I am still not too excited about this red. I think I prefer a little more bright and sharp red. The yellow in “nopoly” is too standout and I think it can be much lighter also. I think the rule of thumb is to have the “Mall” word standout much more. Again, somehow this combination of colour reminds me a lot of children cartoon, which I want it to be a little more mature. At least at the teens to young adult maturity.
3) I think I actually like the clip art to be at the back of our name, but I like your first shopping cart better. I think it’s much nicer. I think we should keep this little wave with the name, it just right.
4) My partner said whether it will look good if the word “Mall” is actually slightly bigger than the rest of the name. I don’t know if it is against any logo design law so I will leave it up to you to decide.
5) I don’t know if this is too much to ask, but I really like your abstract icon such as the ones in Space creator, Cranston.it, Specialized Aircraft Services and MaschinenGigant just to name a few. I think those are absolutely beautiful and I wonder if you can come up with one of that kind to compare against the shopping cart. This is not required, as I know it maybe difficult to come up with something that works with our name and letters.
In closing I think we are definitely on the right track and I sincerely thank you for helping me out big time! Feel free to ask me questions and I will answer them as quick as possible.
Sincerely,
Sampson
