First of all thank you so much for your entries. I really like your illustration skills and looking at your other winning entries you have shown great skills in this department. I ranked entry #4 over entry #5 because I felt the word Mallnopoly should stand out more than the clip art under this set up. However, it doesn’t mean I prefer the layout of #4 over #5 indefinitely if the illustration is different. Your illustration of the globe shopping cart is very creative and cute and because of it I think it stands out a lot. The consequent of this is that it is too dominant when placed above our business name in #5. If the illustration is a bit more simplistic and abstract (relatively speaking), I think it can work and be placed on top of our business name like #5. So it really depends on the combination. I am not trying to discourage more detailed illustrations; I am just stating my preferences in different instances. I think with your skill set you can create amazing clip art that are either more complex than the current one, or more abstract/simplistic.
I terms of colours I think you can go even brighter. I want people to feel fun and excitement, trendy and stylish when they see our logo. As for the font and layout, I think you can go wild and put more fun into this. More amusement park excitement rather than financial institutions seriousness. I am unsure if you can think of other variations to the clip art. As much as I enjoy the current one I would like to know if you could come up with other awesome concepts. Thanks again for your entries and I look forward to see more masterpieces from you. I want you to know that I really, really appreciate the time you put into this.

Thanks again for your new entry. I think it’s cartoon-ish and pretty. However, I think it is a little too cartoon-ish for our taste (But my son loved it J). But thanks to you, I think I am having more understanding of what I want, which is great. I will try to describe in detail and I hope I can describe it in a way where you can understand me.
1) I think the font caused the cartoon-ish look due to its shadow and fatty look. I have NO PROBLEM with the little wave on the name as it adds a little more dynamic to the logo. I think the key is that I don’t like that font very much. Perhaps we can try a font that is in between the 2 styles? 2) I am still not too excited about this red. I think I prefer a little more bright and sharp red. The yellow in “nopoly” is too standout and I think it can be much lighter also. I think the rule of thumb is to have the “Mall” word standout much more. Again, somehow this combination of colour reminds me a lot of children cartoon, which I want it to be a little more mature. At least at the teens to young adult maturity. 3) I think I actually like the clip art to be at the back of our name, but I like your first shopping cart better. I think it’s much nicer. I think we should keep this little wave with the name, it just right. 4) My partner said whether it will look good if the word “Mall” is actually slightly bigger than the rest of the name. I don’t know if it is against any logo design law so I will leave it up to you to decide. 5) I don’t know if this is too much to ask, but I really like your abstract icon such as the ones in Space creator, Cranston.it, Specialized Aircraft Services and MaschinenGigant just to name a few. I think those are absolutely beautiful and I wonder if you can come up with one of that kind to compare against the shopping cart. This is not required, as I know it maybe difficult to come up with something that works with our name and letters.
In closing I think we are definitely on the right track and I sincerely thank you for helping me out big time! Feel free to ask me questions and I will answer them as quick as possible.

Thanks again for the new entries. I think at this point I have decided that the look and style of #8 and #18 is not what I want. They are pretty, but I think for our current company the style for #4, #5, #16 fits better.
I think you can try to put the shopping cart on the right side of the company name and I am curious how it looks. Regarding the Shopping cart and the Globe, the price tag on the globe should be red, so you got that right the first time. I think the cart with the yellow frame works better than grey.
Now that I look at #16, I realize the “wave” don’t work as well with this style. It seems like the wave works better with the style of #8 and #18, so I think we should remove this wave. For now, I think I still prefer #4 over the rest. Sorry if my comments have mislead you. I can see that you are working very closely on this contest and I hope I don’t discourage you by ranking your new revisions lower than before.
I suspect you are still working on other designs based on my previous comments, I am confident that you will come up with some great stuff!
