Could we have this one as a transparent logo (so it can go on any colour background) with the dark grey colour from #274? That will be the winner for me. Is it also possible to get the all black logo and all white logo in the files both as transparent backgrounds? Thanks Janis, really pleased with this one!
Just thinking of a business card, could we try it on a green background and possibly with the leaves coloured also? Sorry just checking what works and what doesn't.
I think this will be the winner. I know I've been saying not on coloured backgrounds but is it possible to try this with white pen colour and a contrasting background colour? Thinking about business cards and website and want to get a feel for how it looks. Also could we try it using a dark grey instead of black please? Many thanks Janis.
I'm happy with this but a few people have made comments on what this would look like with a bit of colour. Could you knock up a couple of examples with a little colour in them? Thinking the obvious bit is within the leaves. Thanks
Hello.
I just wanted you to know that I am perfectly willing to look for other fonts if you’re not 100% happy with this one. Just give me the word and I’ll be on it!
Best regards,
Janis
Thanks prefer the #187 version so have moved that one into the ranking and will reject this one. Was expecting 400-50 entries, struggling to keep up with all the entries. Will have to start narrowing down soon.
Here are changes to this one. I changed our the font and used mixed case for 'Love of'. I am just up early having coffee and having fun working on your project! : )
Okay! I've used your markup to make changes to the O's here. The entire name 'Love of Wood' is perfectly centered underneath the Heart/tree graphic. : )
I’ll continue to work on my design until it’s perfect. It’s after 9:00 pm so it will be tomorrow before I can send over any new designs. Thank you for your interest in my design!
Thanks janisart for your persistence in finding the right font. When I was referring to slimming down the Os I was thinking about making them less round rather than squeezing the spaces between the letters. Is this possible?
Here's the adjustment to the 1st ranked design. I've centered the tip of the heart in between the O and the F in the word of.
Then I made all of the O's a tiny bit thinner. Love and Wood are perfectly centered below the heart now.
Potential solution for you... move the of so that the tip of the heart is pointing to the middle of the gap between the o and f instead of the middle of the word. Then the change needed by slimming down the Os is reduced so you can get away with slimming all 3 Os including the one in love to achieve the result we are after I think. I'm on a training course all day tomorrow so won't respond until the evening.
It would only work if I slim down the 2 O's in WOOD, but not the O in LOOD....which might look odd. I am looking at other fonts now. That was one reason I did the overlapping O's on one of my design, so that Wood and Love would take up the exact amount of space. I'll stay after it until we have a solution.
I've made the changes on this one as you have requested. Of is exactly centered under the heart, elongated the tails on the L and the E, shaped the O's to be thinner. Wood still takes up a tiny bit more space than Love. If I space LOVE out more I think it will look off. I am looking at other fonts that are very similar and may be easier for me to justify the words Love and Wood so that they will use the exact amount of space.
Okay only minor tweaks on the text of this one now. Can you move the OF so that it's straight in the centre of the heart instead of just off to the left. And then to stop it being lobsided can you slim the 3 Os so they are more oval and lengthen the trails on the E and L so the letters are more similar in size. Appreciate this may be tricky but it will make this design as good as it can be. Currently my favourite but we are still on day 1.
As mentioned on the black and white version of this, I like this one, but prefer the white background as the image will be laser etched, so any background colour is a no-no.
