Thanks for your creative designs! You are definitely going in the right direction. We like aspects of #25, #26, and #27, and feel that within those there is a definitely a logo that matches what we are hoping for. We like how the roof images in #26 and #27 frame the word "Longfellow," symbolically equating "Longfellow" with home. We like the font color in #25 (Longfellow in green) but prefer the text layout in #27, with "Longfellow" emphasized but with "Community Council" at an equal width from side to side. We appreciate your efforts to incorporate the river, overtly in #25 and symbolically in the text in #26 and #27, but haven't seen one that feels right.
Angelina- A few of us like the cleanness of #3 a lot, but didn't rank it higher because the imagery doesn't capture the feel of our community. We would be very interested in seeing a version of that one that replaces the mountain-like figure with something more evocative of our neighborhood- such as bungalow houses and canopy trees. There are a couple pictures of bungalow houses in our contest brief that help give a sense of the type of homes that are prevalent in our neighborhood.
Thank you very much for the feedback, but the phase of the contest doesn't allow uploading designs from designers, who are not ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th. I have completed the requests you required, but I can upload them only if you rank me temporary on 5th place, and after I am done uploading you can re-rank back the way you like.
Hi Angelina, Are you able to create a version of #3 that replaces the mountain image with something that evokes an urban neighborhood (homes, tree, street, etc.)?
Thanks for your additional submissions! Still moving in the right direction. #73 is the closest to what we are looking for so far!
What we like about it: -the text is perfect in terms of size and placement -we like the simplicity of the circle logo -we like that it evokes the sense of "home" and "welcoming"
What we think it still needs: -the design of the tree and house don't feel appropriate to our community. The tree: could it be less like a bonzai tree and more like an oak or elm? The house: could it be less like a pagoda/temple and more like a Midwestern bungalow house? More arch to the roof and simpler windows would help it feel more like home to us.
-the center of the logo feels incomplete. It also lacks a good sense of "community" and "neighborhood." Do you have any ideas that could be added in the background behind the tree and house that evoke a sense of neighborhood, community, and urban amenities? We want to convey that this is a nice neighborhood to live, to be close to both natural amenities like the river AND urban amenities like an active community, transportation, etc.
I hope that additional feedback helps. We appreciate your work!
