The colours and the font work well together. We would like to see more colour combinations to be able to choose from the best ones.

The pictorial mark looks like a swan. What inspired this design? What message does it convey?
Generally, we would like to have a unique memorable pictorial mark that would look modern, fresh and exciting. We would like to have something, that people could easily associate with British style and quality, receiving gifts, and a sense of community, sharing ideas.
Could you please remove the period at the end of the slogan?
With the swan I was looking to convey elegance and class, also transformation or change ... inspired by one of the examples you gave. I will try some options.

We have updated our brief with a definite idea of what we would like our logo to look like. As a pictorial mark we would like to have an old model of MINI cooper in motion carrying a box. The side of the car should be painted with a Union Jack pattern. The car should be fairly small and the box quite big in an exaggerated way. The company name and the slogan should be beneath the car. Hi there, thanks for the detailed info, I do have a couple of questions / points ...
First off, just wondering if the other designers who already did this idea came up with it themselves, or it was in response to your request? ... if they did it without you asking, then I am forbidden by site rules from using the same idea.
Secondly, mini coopers are a brand in their own right, no chance you could ever copyright your logo using something that clearly represents a mini, the other designers probably aren't professional enough to care, but they could be banned from the site for using an image of a mini cooper.
Its also quite a complex drawing for the minimum prize amount, so sad to say, quoting Dragon's Den, I'm out.
Thank you for a quick response. The idea was completely ours and nothing to do with designers submitting their entries. So that's half the work done, because we've defined exactly what we want and how we want it.
Thanks for the heads up on the MINI. We can overcome this by using the sketch image of a black cab, because it's not a brand, yet is an iconic symbol of London. I can understand your point about the minimum prize, but it's all we can afford at this moment.
