Sorry for such a late reply but you caught us right near the end of the 1st phase and things were hectic :-/ I was and have been really impressed with your creative use of the L and R. At first I felt the image was to strong for my tastes. I'm very much a fan of a subtle but meaningful image that creates a natural flow into the business name and slogan. But the more I talk to people about these logos and the more I think about them the more I see our name should be less prominent. It has a story but doesn't sell our product. This was an understood weakness from the beginning. Long story short: The more I look at your design the more I see the image as something unique and that can stand alone. Also, if used at the end of Local and beginning of Roots I think it can create a vertical flow into the slogan while leaving the name as a third visual point. Working with #95 please place the image in place of the last L in Local and first R in Roots while moving '& more' below 'Best coffee, Real smoothies' Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the revisions. Working with #127 can we make the L in Local a little more distinguishable, increase the prominence of the slogan a little and move the leafs to the back of the R to where they will be more centered. Thanks!!!
I just wanted to thank you again for submitting your idea. You should probably know that you caused a few more gray hairs to form on my head ..haha!!! As I mentioned before your design was super creative. I literally spent hours staring at your design and the one finally chosen. Your design allowed us more creative flexibility but in the end almost all of the people I asked to help with the process chose the 1st one. I may own the business but I have to see it through my customers eyes and currently they are the best representatives I have. They seemed to like the cup design a bit more and maybe the logo was an overall 'cleaner' design. What put the decision over the edge for me was looking at the image from about 20' and doing a quick walk-by (trying to replicate car traffic ..haha!!) The other image conveyed what we did at a glance easier. I can't say enough how I liked the creativity of this design and just wanted to thank you for your time again.
No problem..thank you also...it's just part of the contest..you win some you loose some...but in the end of the day.... it will make you better design :)
