Nice balance, great colors, cute idea! The 'L' legs are a clever idea, but we're wondering if we can see a version of 'Lisa' who is a bit more sophisticated and less cartoon-like? Not sophisticated enough that she is stand-offish or aloof, but feminine without being fussy and hip without being cold. (LOL...a tall order eh?) And feel free to play with colors that YOU think would work...our suggested colors were just suggestions. We want you to have free reign with this. Thanks so much for your submission! You are one of the only designers who has attempted to bring a 'personality' into the design! Kudos!
p.s. Love what you did with ColorSoup! Really gorgeous. And the 1st ranking Auntie Louie's is very interesting as well. Just to add a bit to our site...we aren't just a daily deal site (although that's where our revenue will come). But, I'll also be blogging about other interesting websites, tips and trends for women, events happening in and around the city and video product reviews about things that are of interest to me. It's basically a 'one-stop' website for women who want to get key information (deals, suggestions, new restaurants, gift ideas, health, beauty, tech-trends, etc.) all in one spot. Not sure if that helps.... ;-)
Super clever and fun! You are really good! Here's our challenge...although we really love the whole 'look' of the avatar/cityscape/bags/etc., we really need something that is super simple. Minimalist, if you will. While we love the idea of incorporating 'Lisa' into the design, she'll need to be really, really simple. Iconic. Abstract almost. Like modern art woven in a logo. But art that still says 'fun, energetic, approachable, women'. A design that will be able to be on an app. Or the little tiny box on twitter. So for our purposes, it can't have a lot of fine detail that would get lost in a small iteration. Any thoughts on how to cleverly incorporate "Lisa" into a design that is clean, modern and strong? You have an abundance of talent and we really like your ideas...we love the idea of personality; we just need it to be simplified.
Here is a site that we've seen that resonates with what we are looking to do...
#75: Colors (and gradation of them) are GORGEOUS!!! We love those colors!
#81: Can we see this without the avatar, the dollar sign and the tag? But keep everything else? We are really liking your designs! Love the font choice!
You are just killing it with these colors ;-). And love the gradients.
I'm going to place yours in the top 5, but don't think that means anything other than you are in the top cut. I need to alert our team (in a meeting) and have them look at the designs.

Greetings Anna, Our focus group of women is responding very well to your design. You are definitely in the top two mentioned! If you are willing, can we see a version with the tagline 'It's a pretty big deal"? (possibly in script? Or a handwritten font...similar to the one that is ranked #3) The one that is currently ranked as #2 (with the L's in the window and the bow) is the favorite of your designs.
